What would keep you going back to Tapped Out daily?

There are daily challenges and the events themselves. But the purpose of this topic is for suggestions on something EA could implement to keep you coming back to the game daily. So feel free to share something that you think would improve the game.

My suggestion: Visit random players Springfield.

  • Maybe a daily yearbook that would offer some random item that has been offered previously, including seasonal, one-time characters/items, etc... But then again, I log in almost everyday anyway to “collect all” and replenish my donuts.
  • Tasks for random characters that rewards you with random items. Low value items. And you don’t know what the reward will be. A tree, or shrub, or fence or something low value. Sort of like the scratchers. Then on rare occasions, like 3% of the time, something major. A donut, a NPC, a quantity of SH currency, (10 or 20 of the harder to get ones), a land title. Something that will make you want to show up. And a rare (>1%) free item worth 10+ donuts. Like the Burns mystery box, but free. And the likelihood of a good prize increases if you collect daily. And the time between refresh varies with no logical reason, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, maybe even 24 hours. And time doesn’t equal monetary gain. One time 2 hours for a white picket fence, next time 12 hours for 25 money little shrub, then 1 hour for 25 Krusty tickets.
  • A new task management feature that allowed character tasks to be set by tapping on the appropriate building instead of the character (ie like Moe’s express). It’d make me more inclined to task characters instead of the 95% free-roaming that’s my current MO.
  • Okay something just came to me. I would spend much more time playing TSTO if the game made it easier to decorate. I know it’s been discussed to death but I just have to vent. I’m trying to decorate my Italian Villa and create a vineyard. I want to add some barrels which I know I have in storage but of course they’re not called “barrels,” they’re called “wooden barrels.” So it takes me forever to scroll through all my items until I find them at the very end under “W”. I have 3 different designs of barrels so I set one design down and then I have to scroll through the whole thing again to get a different design. Why can’t they have a scroll bar or a tab for each letter so I can skip to where I want? Or just put me back where I was after I’m done placing an item instead of putting me back at the beginning of the list. Why aren’t there better categories? Why aren’t all fences listed under “fences.” I tend to go through phases where I decorate a ton and then I just stop because it’s too much work. Also I pretty much stop decorating completely once there’s snow on the ground but not much you can do about that. Anyway, I love this game for the decorating aspect but they have just put absolutely no effort into improving it over the last few years. I could see myself decorating nearly every day if it wasn’t such a painful process.

Once upon a time, the inventories DID remember where you had scrolled to. Then one day, SOME categories of the inventories lost their "memory". But some still have it. (Unfortunately since MY OWN memory is getting worse daily, I cannot remember which categories still "remember" where we had scrolled to...)

I agree that the inventories need indexing and the scroll memory feature should be restored to all categories as it originally was. They dont seem too concerned about it, sadly.

All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

I would love this!!! It would allow us to use building animations that already exist in our games but we may not be aware of.

I DO play almost daily still, but I dont visit neighboreenos anymore, beacuse there's no incentive programs to encourage me.

I would love to see a compounding bonus of some sort, which builds up and resets monthly. So the more daily continous visits, the higher the reward. Dont visit, and you lose that built-up increase.

What the reward could be is up to them. But I would offer simple bonus percentage increases.

So for example, visit 10 neighbors every day for 5 days straight, get a free 1% increase. Visit them 10 days straight, get an additional 2%. Go 15 days straight, get an additional 3%. Go 20 days straight, get an additional 4%. Go 30 days straight and get an additional 5% bonus. Then it resets. So each month there's a potential to increase bonus by 15%, if you played 30 days continuously, visiting any 10 neighbors, every single day. Miss any day and it resets to the beginning, losing that month's chance for maximum increase.

Theoretically a player maintaining 10 daily neighboreeno visits for a year could increase their bonus by 180%!

(Obviously the accrued percentages could be manipulated to limit the annual increase to 150% or even only 100%. My example was just easiest math)

Anyone else like this idea? By avoiding currencies and prize tracks, I think it would appeal to everyone equally. We all want bonus increases, regardless of where we are in our game progress.

I really like that idea. Pretty much every app game has something like this so not sure why TSTO doesn’t. Maybe if you log in 30 days straight you get a mystery box or 30 donuts. Definitely would incentivize some of the newer players. I feel like this game gets incredibly addicting once you start earning donuts and can start purchasing the premium content.

I think ea purposely abandoned friend visits to reduce sever activity and same for the seperate Krustyland (my hypothesis). Also you can force the inventory remember a location by hitting X (to close inventory) before placing an item. Now each time it will go that spot.
Whoa, whoa, whoa – I only accept cash, bitcoin, or GameStop stock.
  • I think they should bring back the following concepts and keep updating them

    1. Friendship Prizes
    2. Road to Riches
    3. Episode Tie-ins

Please EA , please , pretty please :'( This would be so nice !
  • EA isn’t going to change anything from its current format ever again. The days of unique and engaging events are over

They should put that on a billboard 🙂

  • A higher item limit so we can go crazy on designing without worry of hitting it.
    Here have a banana!!
  • How about 1) an option to put everyone on animated jobs only or 2) a separate character button on the top left for characters with one or more skins (I'd use the skins more if I didn't have to scroll through 300+ characters).
  • A higher item limit so we can go crazy on designing without worry of hitting it.

    omg PLEEEEASE!

  • How about some sort of On/Off switch for character jobs so they can just continue doing their task without having to collect. Also being able to pick up and place characters where you want.
  • As a systems analyst I try to figure these out by what is implementable and what is not. Not knowing almost anything how the game is designed I still can have educated guesses. So for example pickup up and place characters is something that I don't think can be implemented as the game stands now. Requires major overhaul of the structure and that is not feasible.

There are cumulative counters in the game so the idea of increasing something based on how you play daily should be possible.

But like it was said even the quality of events and the quests in them are going down so how can you get EA to do anything is beyond me.

Currently I want more land tokens.

The game play has been modified to reduce loading time and glitches. With over 500 individually programed characters moving around your town at once, you can't expect events to be as enormous as they were in the beginning. The events are one after another. The decorations are great, the new characters are great. The writing is funny and well thought out.

Make Nightmare Pile like Zombie Sandwich. All kids trick or treat at once.
