I kind of remember people asking for something to spend their billions on since it became impossible to spend what you'll eventually accumulate. People where asking for some kind of aspirational or status symbol type decoration. So I guess this was their answer.

I like it. I think once I get my twenty gold road pieces I'll use my gold heaven fence and surround the road pieces and have it be a tourist attraction and a status symbol for my town.

If you have the 10th anniversary statue of the donut you could put the gold version on and place it the middle.

There’s 4 pricing levels:

Cost Level 1: The first 6 tiles
No.s 1 to 6 cost 100 million $$s each

Cost Level 2: The next 8 tiles
No.s 7 to 14 cost 250 million $$s each

Cost Level 3: The next 6 tiles
No.s 15 to 20 cost 500 million $$s each

Cost Level 4: After 20
Any more after the first 20 will cost 750 million $$s each

^^ after blowing my A town fortune farming an insane amount of Ds and nuking last year - when I saw these and the costs I went digging out thousands of JEBs, mini-nukes and newsvans !!
Almost back up to covering the cost of the Club, then start banking for the tiles ...

Anyone else have lots of characters congregating on the gold tiles once they’re placed? I’m sure we’ve had this before for a little while with new town building items until they’ve released a patch if memory serves?

Same as always; max bonus multiplier and shortest task duration you can support. Check in every 8 hours if you can; or every 4 if possible, to collect and retask your characters

I’m very interested to see what you’ve committed to. I’m stopping at a half dozen tiles. I really don’t like them. So many other surfaces I’d prefer instead.

I may have to limit what I do seeing how expensive they are now but I won't stop.

My dirt and cobblestone road areas are fairly big so I’ve never noticed them accumulating there but I’m going to keep the gold tile area much smaller which is probably why I’ve noticed it now. I guess it’s not an issue really 🤷🏻‍♂️ if I was a character in the game I’d loiter on golden road tiles too lol

I am definitely disappointed about the high cost of the tiles but I like that this looks good in Springfield Heights and I finally started a redesign after leaving it a sad mess for so many years.
