Issues with new event download

A great many users are reporting that after downloading the update they can't get into the game. It appears to be related to connecting to the server to get the balance of the update. It is not everybody but some, think I will wait till tomorrow before I do the update. Just an fyi, its not everybody.

My 2 android games worked fine but there's mentions of it getting stuck not downloading that little set of updates with the new images and quests and stuff on android and iOS

Yes, mine is doing this too. Donut just spins. It did this with the last big update, too. I'll try again later tonight.

I have the same thing. I have the new splash screen but it won’t connect. Going to wait a while then maybe try downloading the game again.

I had the same issue, but turned my iPad off and back on. Doing so seemed to nudge the game to download more updates. Had to log into the game again, but I’m in.

Might not work for everyone, but thought it was worth mentioning

Also worked for my iPhone (downloaded update, couldn’t get in to game, turned phone off and on, restarted game, game downloaded more updates, game worked - no logging in for this one).

I have the same issue, not resolved by force close or iPad restart. I had successfully entered the game ~5 minutes before updating. After updating and all attempts since I first get the Bart screen and then on retry just the spinning donut. iPadOS 16.5 (10th Gen 2022)

I got in. My mountains are missing , all tunnels and items placed in the mountains are gone. Just a strip of grass. Monorail track stops at mountains too. Does mobody actually test these updates.

Having the same issue on both my iPads:

The newer IPad does not have the new splash screen or any updates ingame (IPad Air 3 OS 16.5)

The older IPad has the new splash screen,but unable to get past the spinning donut (IPad 5th generation 16.5).

What a mess!

I did an uninstall and reload just to see. Mountains etc still gone.
Edit
Over half the town is gone. All heights buildings, airport bldgs, most ocean items, tons of buildings. Incredible how they screw up consistently.

Got the Playstore update, downloaded the game update and managed to load the game up, what a mess buildings missing and others appearing then disappearing as you scroll now can't get back in, guess a patch is needed.

Ipad user, i cant even download because the game is telling me my device is full. What do i do?

Just tried a reboot. There was a small download when it started so it must not have loaded properly the first time. Everything is working fine now.
