And people here were worried that my topics would no longer be effective after EA called me out and I broke character for a fleeting moment. Dance, my puppets.

Surely if you became a mod then so should spAnser and gamezino be lol

Actually most people feel EA should just hire me. :)

With all the info I have figured out about their game. Creating and adding content in the past as well.

You would be an awesome addition to their team. I saw an image of the building you were creating floating around awhile back.

That building ? Spent a while making it but it is basically a copy of the Itchy and Scratchy Building.

Tip? Isn't that the new "mandatory delivery fee"?

And on top of that, why would I tip someone for doing something I'm completely capable of?

A perverted sense of self entitlement is now tip worthy I guess.

How about because you couldn't be bothered to do it your self?

In many delivery situations the driver get minimum wage and the delivery fee is not for anything other then paying that wage. The tip is the courtesy that you pay a little extra to help cover the cost of gas and wear and tear on their vehicle while you sit on your couch.

    nailed it!

I had to say something, I was rather bothered by that person's ignorant reply and I'm not even a delivery person.

You need a dictionary. Nothing I said was ignorant.

So, do you tip every person you have a monetary transaction with through out the day? Thats the standard that yourself and others have now portrayed.

My point: If any delivery place charges me a delivery fee...... then no tip. Hence the delivery fee! Cry all you want about minimum wage but there are far more strenous and filthy occupations that you wouldn't deem tip worthy.

Example: Had a plumber to the house three weeks ago. Very steep bill, but I slipped him a 20. Why? Because he did great work and cleaned up after himself. Now, if on that final bill there was a fee for him coming to the house, then I would not have tipped.

Do you all see my point? If there is a FEE then the tip is disregarded in my mind.

    Do you understand now?

What he is saying is that the delivery fee doesn't always go to the driver. I have a few people who ask me if I get the fee when I deliver. We originally got $2 which in my area would cover gas not wear and tear. Now we get only $1 because of "credit card fees" . I always answer with the truth to the customer though if they ask me if I get the delivery fee I used to say yes I do and still get $1 - $2 . I haven't been asked in a while but I guess I will be saying "only half" from now on. I make ok money but that goes away quickly when I'm getting an oil change every month.

Thank you for understanding my original point.

I agree with what you've said spanser. Its not the best occupation or situation to be in. However, you do choose to be employed in that line of work.

I have a dictionary, we're on the internet, we all have a dictionary.

    ig·no·rant

    1. lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned: an ignorant man.
    2. lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact: ignorant of quantum physics.
    3. uninformed; unaware.
    4. due to or showing lack of knowledge or training: an ignorant statement.

My point is that you are ignorant on the topic of Delivery Fees, you should investigate how such a few is used before you suggest that the driver has a "perverted sense of self entitlement." Not all delivery fees go to the drivers and your slanderous statement about them opens you to the comment.

Also, it's ignorant to assume what I do or do not deem tip worthy, you lack information on that topic as well. I have left tips for people in a variety of situations including and not limited to people working as cashiers, a person who informed me they were un-allowed to accept the tip so I placed a token in the businesses charity bin and informed them I was making the donation on their behalf. I also go out of my way to fill out comment cards in positive situations, because people often write them when a situation goes poorly but do not often when a situation goes well.

Do you split your own hairs for practise? Give it up man, you finally seem to understand my point but still argue on the semantics that we share.

But, if that still doesn't please you. At least we can see eye to eye on the comment cards. That's one of the actions that makes me a random hero.

Well, I'd hate to be your boss. "Cannot follow simple instructions" and "doesn't work well with others" are two terms I use frequently. The surprising thing is, people wonder why. Do you?

It's funny that this forum is mostly adults but the senior admins are just kids. Must be a dream come true to get to rule over the adults!

I'm all for Josh being a mod.

But first, you have to accomplish a few things.

    1) become obsessed with your post count and constantly brag about being the top poster even though 99% of your posts are useless smiley faces and emoticons

2)when someone threatens your spot as top poster, delete all their threads and blame someone else

    And finally,

    3) pretend to be a character from a terrible 90s movie

Oh wait, someone is already doing that? Whoops ;)
    what's your deal?

TS:TO is part of a much larger forum setup, there are a number of Senior Mods - all of them are adults and not kids.

When you post, there's an option to 'append signature', or not. You can put it back by editing your post, and ticking the box.

In any community age is near on irrelevant, contribution and individual merit are factors that count considerably.
