I wish to share my sincere regrets if I squished your gremlin(s).
I try to avoid touching gremlins, but (like the real-life cats they resemble) they have a nasty habit of getting in the way. I've tapped a few when I though I was tapping on a character, but a hapless gremlin was racing through at the wrong time.
Absolutely, squish them. There's a reason my low-goo neighbors get priority when I'm delivering my limited supply of gremlins. It's because I'm trying to give them goo!
I don't mind sharing the goo if it means I get to drop more gremlins, more often. More gremlins more often means more goo in the long run. And for everybody!
Think of it this way: If you drop ten gremlins in my town, and I don't tap them, it takes you four hours to make 40 goo, and in that time none of my other neighbors can utilize my town for gremlin-dropping. However, if you drop ten gremlins in my town, I squish them, and then you drop ten more and I squish those, it's taken you an hour to make that same 40 goo, and I also get 40 goo, and my other neighbors can also get goo in this way. Everybody wins! So SQUISH THEM!
I haven't had any gremlins in my town for at least a week ... I can only assume that my neighbours have sussed out that I tend to log on in the morning before spending 8-10 hours at work/university, and then again a few times in the evening before spending 6-8 hours asleep, and drop them when they know I won't be around to squish them in order to get all 4 GOO for themselves.
Doesn't bother me, as I am already over 25,000 GOO, just interesting that I literally haven't seen a single gremlin in the last 7 days+.
I tend to find as well that I can only dump my own gremlins in large batches in my neighbours' towns as so many are already overrun with them when I visit.
As far as etiquette goes ... it makes sense to squish them when you see them.
It's taken me an hour so far and I'm not through my friends list. Many people I can't leave any because they already have 10. Seriously, clean them up. I leave them in neighbors towns to help us both out. That is how it's supposed to work.
I agree. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to be upset if I leave some gremlins and they don't get tapped. But when I leave them, I expect them to be tapped so they benefit both of us. I'm certainly going to squish the ones in my town when I see them.
