He was mentioned as dead by homer in the episode where he critiques food, and he died in the TOH. Though he could be a ghost like marge and grimes. Personally I think they should release many ghosts- like Monroe and grimes and bleeding gums.

Actually Uter is still alive and well he has still appeared in recent episodes he recently last season in the episode "The Saga of Carl" remember so characters don't really dies expect grimes, Bleeding Gums Murphy and Maude example Dr Nick "died" in the movie but appeared alive and well eps later as did Rex Banner so theres a chance Uter will appear and hopefully he wills he's a great character

It originally ended on the the first Sunday of October. It was then modified so that if the first Sunday falls on the first or the second then the celebration would go until the third of the month, being German Unity Day.
