The rate is accelerating, but during nighttime it will go down for sure. According to the present rate (47.228.571 GOO/h), I predict the first community price given out on Tuesday, 8th of October at 08:30 h CET (Central European Time; Stockholm, Berlin, Bern)

Or the community goo counter is nonsense. We'll get the prizes when EA intended to give them out. They're not actively tracking total goo.

I still think its an automated countdown and it no coincidence that the first prize is ready exactly 1 week from the patch date. Almost to the hour.

Yeah, just so happen to get the first goal almost exactly one week after the start, hmmmm. One goal "completed" each week I presume for the community.

Maybe this has been mentioned before...but don't you guys think that the demolishing of ghosts will slow down once folks finish getting to the 10,000 goal of GOO after receiving the gingerbread house reward? I am pretty sure that this will be the case for some as I have a few friends that hit 10,000 within the first couple days...and they still have slightly more a week later.

I wish the double haunters would sop double haunting, a lot of GOO has been lost because of them -.-
I'm personal most looking forward to the first and last community prizes:
the first one because I'm interested to see if it's a new building or a skin (I don't have Lard Lads so I'm hoping it's not a skin

I'm wondering about the slow down. I can see people unable to drop off gremlins as towns will be maxed out and people may not be so bothered to clear them. I hope it doesn't get to that but you do wonder what effort people will continue to put in

Here's hoping that people know they will get free donuts if they continue. I mean, if people are getting say 1000 GOO a day (which is a fairly reachable number), then they should be done with the personal prizes by Oct 11. That leave 27 days to gather more GOO. At 1000 per day that means they will hit the bonus level 13 times and if they average 2 GOO per box (assuming they do not spend money to guarantee 3 GOO), then they would get another 26 donuts FREE!

Plus, people have already gotten many free donuts from tapping ghosts/houses/gremlins so lets say they aver average 4 a week meaning that is another 12 free donuts and with the 10 from the trivia question and 6 from Burns' Confession that is like 55-60 donuts absolutely free, which is also the cost of many premium characters.

With the first week coming to an end, I have gotten a single donut. I got 2 in my 2nd town which is a separate user technically. So that 4 a week is pretty high. I think that's more of an outlying case than average.

I'm also saying that since my sister started last week as well, and hasn't seen a single donut yet, but she's also further behind me though.

I'm getting a donut daily, and also getting more than 1000 goo.

So am I, but I wanted to be conservative because if I said 7 donuts a week and say 1500-2000 GOO per day, people would chastise me saying that is not accurate. I tried to set the bar low. I reality a person (at 1500 GOO per day) should be getting at least 20 bonus levels which means up to 60 donuts plus the finding random donuts at like one per day meaning they would have found 30 donuts, plus the 16 free (10 +6) for a total more than 100 free donuts, just for visiting all their friends everyday. That is a HUGE incentive

I know every user is not the same, as my wife has gotten less than I have, though she is further behind, but I have gotten 7 or 8 and so I just cut it in half

Not likely, especially knowing we're getting donuts for every 2000 goo after unlocking the last prize, if anything, I'm gonna tap even more and I hope to raise my donut amount drastically in the next few weeks!!

Well, I dont think it's a mainly automated countdown. The rate has been going up all afternoon, which makes sense as right now people from Europe till America are online and hunting for ghosts. Here are the rates (hours in CET):

    14:40 h: 45.394.736 GOO/h
    16:10 h: 46.333.333 GOO/h
    17:00 h: 47.228.571 GOO/h
    19:40 h: 51.340.000 GOO/h

    (base: 4.156.500.000 GOO @ 14:40 h CET)

New expected time for price #1: 08:00 CET

So I don't think the number shown is made up by EA. But I don't think either that it's a coincidence that the first price is due one week after the update. EA probably has done the math in advance and calculated the target GOO numbers in order that it will be a close race way until the 7th of November.

And yes - it will be interesting to see, if the numbers drop after people have reached 10.000 GOO. But I guess the majority will play on as they want to get the free Donuts.

    We'll see ...

The time frame you are suggesting that we will be getting the first prize at is what I was predicting a few days ago. I predicted we would get it sometime tonight around midnight (give or take about 2 hours) CST.
