I agree with you on the community counter. I suspected it was rigged when I first saw it.

I am a highly organized person. Having friends in a random shuffle is so STUPID! It makes no sense and it drives me nuts!! ORGANIZE IT!

I know this is Josh being Josh, but as many have theorized I believe the randomized friends list is done on purpose. It is most likely to ensure that people who's name starts with A don't get a ridiculous more number of visits than people who's names start with later letters. Since it takes about an hour to go through a friend's list, during a non-event, some people might just visit the first 5 or 10 people, if everyone did this then all the A, **** would get visits and none of the Ys or Zs. Random order allows the others a better shot

I agree, it's terrible. I don't care how they're ordered, just do it in a way where the player can decipher it. Alphabetically, order added, etc. Random is terrible. Or, like I said in another thread, add an option to the Origin menu that allows you to visit a neighbor directly from their profile.

If that is the reason, then that is stoopid.

    3 things wrong with that,

    1. We never got a flying spaceship task for Kang. And he has more tasks now
    2. Homer doesn't nearly have 47 skins
    3. Even if the conter is rigged, it was put there so we woulden't rip each other apart (about stealing GOO from each other) and still know there is a reason to still work together. That, and SO we could still collect GOO after we get our personal prizes.

Still, I did enjoy the read.

I have definitely seen Kang flying in his UFO shooting building.

I think you need to store the crashed spaceship to see that...

That's how Kang appeared last year. It's not a regular task, it was a one time thing. But when you get Kodos, that's how she appears. So shell out 150 donuts for the ray gun after you get the Ultrahouse and you can see the animation too :)

And the best part is, after you shoot her down, you can store her ship any time you want and she'll be flying again, and you get another crashed ship in your inventory you can't place, like the 2nd lemon trees.

People would see Kang flying around in his flying saucer when visiting a town that had Kang.

The only other time Kang was flying in his flying saucer was when we unlocked that next step of the TOHXXIII quests. In order to get him into our town as a playable character, we had to shoot him down thus destroying his flying saucer, thus removing the possibility for their to be any quest for Kang to fly it.

    Just FYI.

    The Dude is back

Off topic, but what stocks do I need to buy before the assassinations? I didn't make that much on the Hotel one.

Edit: Also, why does that one post below my first one keep disappearing? And then reappearing? And then disappearing again? What kind of sorcery goes on at this place anymore ;)

I will say that Kang and Kodos flying around in the mothership would have been a better 2-person task, ex strange proton strings REALLY creeps me out.

First off, why do I not see a task for Kang to fly in his UFO? Those who had him from last year got that task. I want it. If I can't have Kang and Arnie flying together, I'm not going to be happy. I thought EA was trying to make us happy by bringing him back, but if its just a crappy watered-down tease version, I'll be pissed.

Next, there was just 1 attic item? I thought it was every 5 days for the life of the event. Not one crappy skin. Skins suck in general, and this new one is especially sucky. What makes it worse is that Homer has 47 skins already. It's just EA's cheap way of not adding another character. God forbid they have to pay for a server that can host more characters at once. Last year they gave the Mayan God. He has no tasks but he's not a garbage skin. I want more attic prizes.

Third, lol at the community countdown. Clearly a rigged thing. How convenient that its going to hit 5 billion right at the end of each week. Well played, EA...you got the fools to tap their life away in fear of missing the community prizes.

Lastly, why the hell did they change the neighbor list from being alphabetized? I know they changed it a while ago, but I never pointed out how much it truly sucks. It's in a completely random order now. I can't find anyone without scrolling back and forth...and sometimes I accidentally click the town while scrolling which leads to more time wasted as it takes FOREVER to load between towns. Change it back to alphabetical order please.

I will reserve my complaints regarding the lack of the black hole and the Mayan stuff for when I actually see at the end of the event that they are not returning. If EA screws that one up then they are just beyond hope.

My favorite friend is first on my list, XBL-Heretic, so I'm good ;)
I love this forum! awesome people!

O M G i once made a thread bout how i feel bad for my letter Z neighbors since i usually get irritated by the load times visiting neighbors that i eventually give up before i even hit D. Hope random wasnt my fault. I honestly dont mind the randomness but when u crashed on a certain town and u want to resume where u are it canbe a pain to search all of them to find it.

BUT my major gripe is alot of times when i pop back out of a town it puts me a few friends over so i have to go backwards thru the list to resume where i left off. and sometimes it randomizes every one every time i exit a town and that gets really frustrating having to go thru the entire list several times to make sure u hit everyone (if one was so inclined to actually tap all their friends in one go)

    Assassination 2
Invest in DEB (Debonaire), which is found on the LCN stock exchange. After around 8 game hours (16 minutes in real time), the share price should peak, again at around 80%. Again, be sure to save in case you miss the selling window, as the price will drop significantly after it has passed.

Afterwards, invest in RWC (Redwood), found on LCN. Save the game, and advance the clock by 48 hours by going to your safehouse and using the bed. Remember to save in a different file; each time you use the bed to save you will advance the game by 6 hours. If you land on a weekend you will need to wait until Monday as stock prices remain static at weekends. On the second trading day after the mission the Redwood shares will increase by around 300%, at which point you sell.

Assassination 3 - Invest in FRT (Fruit) on BAWSAQ before the mission starts. After completing the mission the share price will spike at around 50%, so sell when it hits that mark. Afterwards, invest in Facade (found on BAWSAQ) while prices are low. The company will make a valiant comeback after around 2 days and share prices will rise again.

    Assassination 4: Bus Assassination
Complete the mission normally, then invest in VAP (Vapid) while prices are down. Advance the game by 48 hours and at the start of the second day, share prices will shoot up by a tasty 100%, at which point you should sell up.

    Assassination 5: Construction Assassination
Before you begin this final assassination mission, you should invest in GCD (Goldcoast) on LCN. Completing this mission will cause GCD share prices to increase by a maximum of 80%. Sell, sell, sell.

If you started with a base investment of $1million (going from the second assassination, as you likely won’t have a million before then), using this guide could see you increasing that to $29,160,000.

If you invested all your cash each time, you can potentially end up with a figure anywhere between $600,000,000 and $1,500,000,000, depending on your take from the final heist.
