I wish I was getting gold! All I get is $100.
It's like that to keep the game balanced. If you paid 350,000 for a building, the quest reward should not reimburse you for the cost. So it gives you something. I personally think the finale should give out a donut or something more rewarding. The prior steps is fine with the low amount of cash.
That's why the scratchers are low prizes since you can use them early in the game (now), and probably why that Springfield Downs saw a price reduction.
