According to some other posts and my own experience, try putting fat Tony's place into your inventory and then put it back. This worked for several friends as well, doing it first before tracking down all of your characters.

Other possible are... Quit and restart the app. Avoid putting characters on highly animated tasks. (Burns walking the hounds slows my iPad way down.) I will have to try the Fat Tony mansion trick myself.

I'm having a similar problem. Collecting from houses/buildings is a chore and characters walk off before I can re-task them. This hasn't happened before. I did delete and re-install. Things picked up a little better (I was ready to stop playing-- it was that bad) but it's wearing thin. I'll try the Fat Tony idea.

im having this issue with the new samsung galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition.

I also have the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition and the game is ridiculously choppy. This is replacing my 1st edition iPad and I expected it to work great, but this is not good. Anyone know if a fix is coming?

When my game was lagging badly, it turns out Eddie or Lou (don't remember which) had gone missing. Storing and re-placing the SWAT an fixed it for me.

my game was almost unplayable on a 4S but i can confirm that storing and replacing the swat van has fixed the problem. thanks!

I'm also suffering from the same choppy (low FPS) in game, whilst the issue is less in Krustyland, I still have the issue in both.
