"Negative" Gremlins

it's like whose line is it anyway!

The rules are made up and the points don't matter.

I've had mine as far down as -18 Gremlins, but I don't know if it done me or my neighbors any good. I've noticed that Gremlins collected in neighbors' towns will be added to the negative count appropriately, but who knows, it's all pixels anyway.

I noticed it at the beginning but though it was fixed in one of the updates but occasionally the Counter in the upper right hand corner is higher than the amount of gremlins I have and it will let me go negative.

i've seen it happen when gremlins are dropped but not yet collected. I spent it and went to -1 and a few seconds later it when it got auto clicked I want back to 0.

Could it be something to do with not having to hang around your friends town to click on payouts?

It's quite simple: If you dont collect all your GOO and gremlins while you are visiting your neighbours, they won't be counted until your town is synchronising. So the real number of GOO and gremlins is hidden, but not forgotten. If a town is not already filled with gremlins, you are able to release your gremlins, even if this means that your screen counter will go to negative numbers.

    Example:

You start with 3000 GOO and 0 gremlins.

While visiting neighbour 1, you get 8 GOO and 2 gremlins. You leave neighbour 1, before the last 3 GOO and the 2 gremlins are collected.

You visit neighbour 2 and your counter says 3005 GOO and 0 gremlins (but the game remembers 3008 GOO and 2 gremlins!) You leave neighbour 2 before you have collected the last 4 GOO and 1 gremlin.

Visiting neighbour 3, your counter says 3009 GOO and 0 gremlins (real number: 3016/3). Now you see on the top right gremlin counter that you can drop 3 gremlins at your neighbour's town. You do that and your counter goes down to -3.

You collect 8 GOO and 1 gremlin and decide to return to your town. The screen says "synchronising" and when you arrive at your own Springfield, the counter will say 3024 GOO and 1 gremlin.
