Whacking Day Prizes v. Halloween Prizes (Individual and Community)

Prev1
I agree 100% hopefully they will make up for it at Christmas. :) I feel like it kind of evens out in a way though... WD it was a lot harder to achieve the prizes. I for one only got half of them. :( but for this one I'm already at 16,000. And I do have to thank them for being so gracious with donuts with this update. Very happy with that and I really hope they continue to be so giving during the holidays. ;)

Whether or not you think the Whacking Day prizes were 'better', or not, we're getting more prizes with Halloween.

    Whacking Day:

    4 Buildings
    2 Characters
    2 Skins
    3 Decorations
    1 Taskless character

    Halloween:

    5 Buildings
    3 Characters (Including Maude)
    2 Skins (Including Strongman Homer)
    3 Decorations
    4 Taskless Characters
    1 Krustyland Ride

Personally, I prefer the Halloween prizes. The Whacking Day buildings were awkwardly sized and look out-of-place. I don't mind seasonal/holiday items in my town and love the new houses.

(I typed this about 20 minutes ago, but decided to shower before I sent it. Even though mwdalton already covered it, I'm still including it.)

In addition to all pointed out above.....the return of most all decorations/buildings/skins from last halloween for those that missed/couldn't afford them last time.

PS- I know we are talking about prizes only, but I think there were a lot of people excited to get "old" items just as much as the prospect of new ones.

I agree with this part, I didn't start playing until thanksgiving last year.

I didn't include the cash items like: fortune teller building, Freak Show Tent, and Zombie. Either way, all around, Halloween brought us a lot more content. (I counted the UFO as a decoration.)

I really liked the Stadium most from whacking day. I also liked the Motel. The rest was meh. Tatum is cool, but not so much the Colisium.

I really like the Ultrahouse 2. That seems to fit in very well. Next I also like the Gingerbread house and think it fits in with my Christmas area. I also really love the Witch, her 12 hour task is wicked. Homer will not return to Krustyland after Halloween just to be utilized in that task. However, since I absolutely love his Pacman goo task, he is going to do that until Nov 7th (unless we get a level update beforehand).

The burial ground fits well with the graveyards, and I already have a suburb idea for the Pumpkin House.

So I think it was significantly easier to place the Halloween decorations. I still am at a loss for the snake rocks, the EXTRA statue, and sort of just had to stuff Fort Sensible in my field trip section. I do love Willie's skin more than Count Burns.

I like the Halloween prizes better. I like any prize that has a char and building for free. But this time around got 1 char I never knew would even be in the game. That is the witch. I think she was only ever in one show. I could not believe we got Count Burns for free. I though he would of been a premium!!!!!!!!!!!! We just now need his Homer monster. I wonder if King Kong Homer is a skin or another char? And probly Christmas we will get the most buildings. How many did we get last year for Christmas?

I liked the prizes for Halloween vastly more than than for whacking day. Whacking day was a pain in the rear to do and you had to rely so much on friends leaving eggs and I was only able to get the pet snake after working my rear off and working with different people.

What I loved for Halloween this year is that it was so much easier. Not only have I gotten all the personal prizes (cept the ghost vacuum which disappeared on me) I've gotten several community prizes and I was able to use donuts to buy all the things I wanted since I didn't join until this past spring. I hope I can get all the cool christmas stuff from last year in December :D

King Kong Homer looks like pretty much an animated decoration for the building, from speculation I've read.

Whacking day I never got to stadium or hotel. Needed a playing partner and didn't have one, it was not a well designed event for those playing a lot and solo.

Halloween is great, already have all prizes, 100 active friends and play multiple times a day.

Also, don't remember the specific event, but missed out on santas helper by hours!! Very sad :(

EA is improving events in my book.

The issues I had with Whacking Day were:

    1. Placing 1 egg at a time became very tedious
    2. Cracking eggs only produced more eggs instead of snakes.
    3. Prizes seemed unattainable (probably because I didn't know about this forum when I started playing)

What I do like about Halloween this year is that there is more of a chance of getting donuts from doing anything.

    Drawbacks from Halloween:

    1. King Snorky doesn't have any missions attached after Homer has completed those side-quests.
    2. Zombie Cat, Random Zombies just roam the town. Seems like they should have some kind of mission attached.

I agree that we get (Freak Show Tent and Strongman Homer) but these were from a rather boring and lackluster Treehouse of Horror.

Don't get me wrong, I love getting the donuts and prizes, but if there is a mission to use a Ray Gun to shoot down a spaceship, it should be free!

Donuts were possible, just not an everyday occurance like Halloween '13. Oh and thanksgiving prize. You will be sorely disappointed.

Anyone saying the prizes are better from whacking day dont realise Halloween can only stick to a small set of episodes, whacking say could pretty much do anything now as the source material isn't all that large.
