Koi pond, gong, or zen garden for the Temple. Or maybe an actual Homer Buddha statue, since that already has a design of sorts.
Cast iron benches to match the fencing. Maybe trendy little cast iron chairs, too.
Some kind of small fence/curb to put along the transition between cement and grass.
Concrete walls, along the lines of El Chemistri's little wall.
I second the one-square tree idea. We sort of have one, but at times the bright pink pot won't really work with the space.
Fences that can more easily have stuff going along them. Why do fences take up the whole square??
Car decorations for the roads. (And, perhaps, the parking lots.)
Birdbaths and other such lawn ornaments.
New types of flowers, maybe white or yellow. The ones we have a great, but they're starting to get overdone.
For that matter, flowering trees. (I've been trying to fake it with the dead trees backed by flowers, but that takes some extra space.)
A slide for the school playground. Anything that can raise my Consumerism rating, without having to build hundreds of kwik-e-marts

Yess!!
When I first started playing, I saved up to buy a "Homer Buddha" thinking it was a actual Buddha like a statue or something. Then I got a bench.. I was like **** is this?? :?

I'm surprised they didn't release a statue with the Buddhist Temple
I'd also like to see dirt roads(4x4) and dirt trails(1x1) for woods that characters would actually use!
Hear hear!!! I am waiting on something like this. I even have a spot in my town, where I have a dirt road of grass... Of course that is not working as well as a real dirt road/trail would!
I'd also really like to be able to place benches in 4 different ways, instead of 2.
Other than that, I support most of the suggestions in this thread. In general there should be a lot more decorations!

I think they won't do that, only because they would have to add additional animations for any character who sits on the bench, since we would be seeing them from the back. Not impossible, but I would think a very low priority.
Love the dirt road/path ideas. So many buildings would benefit aesthetically from it. I'd like some different trees too, or the ability to make trees shorter/taller (not a lot) to add some extra depth to wooded areas.
I've floated the customizable billboard idea before - a way to leave a message to anyone who visits our SFs.
Love truck-a-saurus!
And though I am not sure of the best way to implement it, I think it is criminal that we don't have the couch!
Oh, yes, I would love some trails I could put through my park and stuff! And if they looked like the one leading to the pumpkin house, things could tie together nicely. (I've got it sitting on the end of a neighborhood right now, but at some point it will be moved, along with the farm. Dirt pathways for that would be great.)

Or, you know, just some more bushes :P I still can't believe that Krustyland has the exact same bushes, flowers and trees
I want to be able to spin the car parks 360 degrees.

Yep, especially if he was placed just outside the Duff Stadium, waiting to go in...
I've wanted those for a long time. And they have to be able to go everywhere- SF, SP and KL.
Also would be nice to have different colored houses.
