When you accidentally lose doughnuts while tapping and feel the pain like a small child who just lost the ice cream from his cone.

When you realize that before TSTO, you charged your ipad once or twice a week. And now every day.

    Ha ha ha Elsie....

When you screw in a surge bar on the wall under the end table in the family room. You will never have to worry about wasting time getting up to find a more accessible outlet, which would mean being separated from the iPad!!!!

You know you're addicted to tapped out when you're a teacher who catches a student playing tapped out in class and you think, "I understand." And allow the student to continue playing.

I do this rather often heh I tend to quickly re-task without checking the time.
Or similarly, when you have a fit after realizing you've waited too long to assign your overnight tasks, therefore being unable to assign tasks right when you wake up. This has damn near ruined my day before :(

 when you are talking to a customer on a phone, refreshing the game because its 8-9pm on a Sunday, awaiting to see if Tony has a question that would give you donuts or a quest, visiting friends springfields and having to ask the customer to repeat what they said...twice!

This morning I almost missed my bus to work as I was a little too late assigning the 8hr tasks last night - no way was I leaving everybody idle all day!..... This game is gonna get me into trouble one day haha!

When you tell your husband to wait a minute on going shopping because the tasks will be completed in five minutes and you want to get them all reset before you leave.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Never leave them idle! Once in a while one of the little *$#s will hide behind a building when I'm assigning 12-hour tasks, and if I check the game before finally turning in for the night and see him or her, I am so annoyed, knowing I'll have to assign an 8- or even 6-hour task so he or she will be available with the others for an assignment that will keep them all busy until I return home in the evening. They will be idle for 2-4 hours unless I wake up earlier than I need to to put them to work for another hour or so. Darn slackers!

When you're driving in your car and you peripherally catch a glimpse of your iPad, which happens to be strategically placed on the passenger seat beside you, notifying you that X character has finished X task. You quickly pull off to the side of the road to start the $$$ collection process. Then, 20 minutes later, you finally convince yourself to put it down, turn hazzad lights off, and get back to driving.

2 minutes into driving again, you grin... "I just got Fat Tony!!"

When you ruin your brother's birthday party just so you can get 12 hour tasks set so you can finish them in the morning.

    (Yes, this actually happened. YESTERDAY.)

.....when you're at your child's school assembly and the teachers are talking about boring stuff and the parents around you hear Bart say " get bent " because you didn't turn the sound down low enough.
