Maybe you should try the EA support?

Did you clear all the cache?
Did you hardclose the app?
Try this atleast 3 times.
After that try reinstalling the app?
Then probably clear your town a bit (if you got alot of stuff) since alot of stuff can cause crashing.

The other thing that can cause crashing is having too many friend request pending, you may need to log into the Origin Download website to clear down some of the pending. Other than that raise a ticket with EA, they will get back to you within 48hrs https://help.ea.com/contact-us

There has been people who have had over 200+ requests sitting there which is where the problem can be caused from, it certainly worth checking every now & then just in case

I will when I log into the towns on my gf iPhone. But can this really be the solution?? I dont want to box everything just because I don't know how long it will take EA to repair the app. And besides: The game crashes way before it knows which town I want to enter. It crashes while loading the game.

Thank you for your kind response. I will do that and clear the 16 pending requests. But ...

1. The game crashes way before it knows which town/user I want to use. So I am no longer able to log into my anonymous town as well.
2. My main question was if EA knows about that problem and why we dont hear anything in this forum about it. Dont get me wrong: I know about the support form. But it's not an individual problem, so why open a ticket just for my town when there are many other users affected by this memory problem? Why having a Bugs & Issues subforum when everybody still has to open their individual tickets in order to hear anything from EA?
3. Are the moderators in direct contact with EA?

I don't have this problem now. But my game will crash sometimes when I try to go to a certain neighbor (not any of the mods ) who has lots of stuff. I also had the problem with another neighbour who cleared up his town a bit and now I can visit it just fine.

You might want to try to clear those 16 requests, just incase.

Your game probably tries to log into a certain town which might be the problem, my game always chooses a certain town to log into. If I want another town I have to log out of mine first. Except sometimes, sometimes it asks for a login right when I start the game.

On a more serious note: The problem persists. And it has nothing to do with the pending friends requests.

It's a memory problem. The game (and most of the time also the device) crashes while loading. It has nothing directly to do with the numbers of shrubberies I have placed. It's a program error that came with the Halloween update and then gotten bad and worse with the time.

I ask again: Will EA correct it?
