1/ If you DON'T update, you're not able to visit neighbors who did update. I'm not sure if it works the other way around. There is no more event indicator after the update so I wouldn't know if I were visiting a player who hadn't updated yet.

2/ Aesthetically, I prefer normal Springfield over Halloween Springfield. Also, you're probably going to be forced to update within a couple hours anyway so there's no great reason to hold off.

3/ Nothing happened with the Squidport "glitch". It still appears to be working. Personally, I am not all together convinced it actually is a glitch and not what the developers intended.

BTW, I had no issues with the update and I would not characterize this update as being very buggy based on the input on these boards. This is a buggy game in general. The update is moderately/normal level of bugginess for an EA update.

The tile glitch is definitely still working for me. Just checked a couple seconds ago and new friends gave me tiles. Maybe it's a glitchy glitch.

I wish I hadn't updated because I miss the halloween colors. I was 900 goo from 50,000. But I couldn't control myself and updated it to see what was new.

Mine auto-updated. If given the choice, I would have kept maxing out GOO for doughnuts. I wish I had pushed a little harder this past week, though, as I didn't make enough for some limited items that I still wanted.

Glad the sun is back, but I wish the water colour was kept darker.

I entered one of my friends town with Halloween still on (I heard the gremlins noise) and i can access them to tap normally

The connection to server problems aren't really a glitch but more of a server overload. Often happens the first few days of an event, the last few days of an event and right after major updates. Hey, we're all little eager beavers. Not trying to defend EA but they've had bigger crashes in the past and have improved it somewhat.
As for Squidport, I've been maxed but I notice quite a few neighbours still have a tile showing when I visit so I don't think that has changed.

1. I can visit all my neighbors regardless of their update status. Non adopters cannot visit me.

2. I'll miss the donuts for the goo but I'm hoping we still get donuts for max XP. Don't miss the rest of the other stuff. I'm in the category of LOVING the brightness of the screen.

3. Tile tapping still works for me. I've triple tapped with 2 people since the update and have exchanged maybe 3 single tile taps. (miss being able to drop a gremlin as a calling card)

I upgraded and I like the old SF look. What I need now are people to tap my tile since I want to stock up on tiles and expand my SP.

Any regular tile tappers feel free to add me and I'll tap your tiles too!

I've updated. If I could go back, I'd probably hold off. Than again I truly enjoyed everything about the Halloween event and will miss it all year. If I could go back I'd likely hold off until I'm forced to update since now the game seems boring

I updated. In a few hours you most likely wont be able to play without updating anyways. It should force you to update, or it at least did at the end of Whacking Day.

I was done, happy to remove. I made sure to get a goo box last night then quit. Was disappointed to see it in the morning, but I just unloaded a few bombs for kicks and set everyone to their normal 12 hour task (Homer is now going to be tortured daily) and Apu headed back to the Kwik-E-Mart, and Ned went to Church (I put him there so it's easier to find him when Rex Banner is ready to use his nightly 8 hour). Marge is back to speeding up my corn. Frink I cashed out 2 days ago since I didn't need the 10 goo and plus it was an indoor task. The kids have been in Krustyland for a good portion of the update.

I know a lot of people were sick of it, but I'll miss Halloween. I actually liked popping ghosts and hunting down gremlins. And I really liked getting free donuts on a regular basis.

I don't want to update but unwillingly thought I may as well, my iTunes account won't let me update keeps saying there is a problem with my payment method (this is for all updates not just TSTO) I haven't bought anything for a while so I don't understand what is happening here. But I will be annoyed if I cannot visit or people cannot visit me.

No problem with the update for me. I was able to tap neighbor tile, but my tile is gone, replaced with a handshake. The majority of my neighbors still make gremlin noises as you enter them.

I haven't updated yet but I can tell which of neighbors did there Goo is 0 and all 37. I thought the update at noon today was it but Halloween stayed. So many neighbors dropped by to leave off their orphan gremlins that I might be able to make one more goo box. So I'll try

i hope the gremlins won't come back. they were a pain in the **** trying to tap them when they move to fast and you either tapped a house or a person
