They should have done the hellfish thing and make it a small donut purchase like 5 or 10 donuts. Then all money they make from it send to armed forces charities.

As cool as it is, it's not what November 11th is about. It's pretty much commercializing it. And that's disrespectful to the people who fought for their familys. Out of fear, they ran into the eyes of the beast, and gave their lives to protect us.

I certainly didn't mean to imply anything disrespectful...i wasn't even thinking about it being Veterans day, I was just hoping to one day have something Flying Hellfish related in my Springfield.

While I would definitely encourage this, there are too many people with ill-gotten donuts to make this viable. I would prefer to see a free item so as to avoid the commercialisation of it. My Grandfather fought in WW2 and his father died in WW1, one of my best friends returned from Afghanistan recently, so anything but a transparent donation system would not sit well with me. Hypothetically, it would have been free.

That last picture of Homer and Grandpa in the bar got me a little choked up. My grandfather is 102 and all of his friends who did survive the war now have died, I hope their sacrifice would be remembered.
