One strip won't cut it for me. I am so jammed up now. I would spend donuts on more premium buildings, but I don't want to cram any more stuff in. I have the opposite problem in Krustyland. Plenty of space, but not enough content to fill it.

I'm curious on how much land other would like/require.

Like I said earlier, I would like one perpendicular to the mountains and 2 horizontal to the mountains.

I dont get the need for more land, if you stop making huge gardens in every corner and center of your city maybe you will get enough space to fit the buildings you need. I still have a lot of land to buy and am a premium member and i dont have my buildings jammed. I obviously dont make gardens to brown houses like i have to the burns mansion. Usually people who complain about land are the ones who buy about 100 missiles or some other useless * and make a drawing out of them or some sort of text with flowers. That is stupid.

    I don't farm house.

I don't have pretty little gardens in every corner.

I don't have 100 missiles or other decorations to make some sort of text.

But I do try to make my town look like a town. And with a little rearrangement (and storing of items), I have now one tiny open space. This is after rearranging for Christmas and now Level 38.

If the next event treats us to a lot more buildings, I would literally have to tear down my town to cram it all in. And what you might feel is superfluous, I feel is necessary to achieve some aspect of realism. For example, my houses do have a backyard. I do have a few token small parks (what town doesn't?). And I have some water in areas. This all seems natural to me. If I have to store all of this to cram in another 5 or more buildings, the joy of creating a town will be gone.

So more land is needed. :)

P.S. I have seen towns that have everything and most is shoved together so tightly it looks terrible. This is not a town, this is a collection of buildings. So what you may feel is wasteful, I feel is needed.

One strip would be enough...but really, as long as I can get it sometime before next Christmas I should be fine. Really not a priority for me at this point. Having some more buildings would be cool, though! Always can use those... :-)

We need more land. It was tough rearranging my town just to fit the courthouse. Another 26 pots of land would be great.

Creativity is a big thing when designing your own SF. I have friends that have stuffed all their buildings in rows and not really decorated and have a ton of land left.....they don't want or need all the extra land because to them they are just there to get the premium stuff and buildings and people and to get tons of money out of their SF.

On the other hand I have friends that have been so creative with their SF that they use every inch of land and their town looks awesome.

Everyone has a different reason for wanting or not wanting more land. I could use more land, I would welcome it with open arms because I am one of those "decorating" fools! LOL

So if EA breaks out the new land, I will be eager to fill it up.

But sometimes you have to give something up to get it, so I have been getting rid of some of my extra houses and lakes and parks to streamline things a bit, I just sold 23 brown houses and kept 6, I had two huge parks, now just one small one.

So some may need to sacrifice a little to get some space if we don't get more land........sad ...but true.

But, EA I would like more land ......if you are thinking about it.

I would pay $1million for 1 square land if it needs to be.

I'm with Battkatt on this. Never thought I would need more land, but now I do. I have some areas that I really like and don't want to tear them down to fit new buildings. Some areas are still a hodgepodge of buildings because I don't know where to place them and EA keeps giving us new stuff. :)

So I'm all for more land.

I don't know if a petition or a poll or 20 threads about land will make EA realize how many people want/need land. I know they come here for ideas, we all do. I just figure keeping this thread near the top could possibly do something? Maybe if the people who want/need more land keep sending EA "tickets" on help line, it will speed things up. I just took apart half my town and abandoned part of me theme because I was sick of my town being in pieces. Here's hoping for new land

I have a load of stuff in storage (even premium buildings) as I don't just want to cram a load of buildings together without any space to make them look unique. Every so often EA give us a strip of land to buy. Hopefully they will hear our cries (yeah.... right  ) and give us the ability to purchase more.

I'm sure that EA are aware people need more land... it's probably more the case that they could not handle the amount of pressure it would take on the servers. personally, i do not need more land as i don't have any premium buildings (except the few i managed to save up free donuts for), but looking at some of my awesome neighbors towns, i can see why they do...
i don't agree that more land should cost donuts, just perhaps a high price (which players would pay if they needed it so badly)

Luckily with the buildings provided in this update, I'm able to make it work with a little redesigning here and there but I will 110% need more land for valentines day. It's getting very tight indeed.

They have made us wait this long, so they better give us two rows of land on both sides. One measly strip on one side most likely won't solve most people's land issues.

I agree I am hoping for at least three strips of land.

Yep agree with both of you. That one strip they gave us with the halloween update was a joke, I had to redesign more than half of my town.

Ya, the width of one strip of land doesn't do much. I had to turn my new strip of land into my forested area and cemetery area which was moved due to land restrictions. The large cemetery is almost as wide as a strip of land. So is Fort Sensible and Kamp Krusty. It is just frustrating.

It's ironic that Krustyland has a huuuuge area of land that doesn't get used because there's not enough items to put there, but Springfield is getting more and more crammed with every update/event.

With the arrival of the Courthouse, this past weekend I literally took my town apart and rebuilt it. I removed my 40 Purple House house farm, and I purchased the Halloween land expansion. I'm nearly finished, and what I have is fantastic, but -- like everyone in this thread -- I found myself with a serious land shortage.

The consequences of the land shortage in my town irritates me. For example, I planned on incorporating the Christmas and Halloween buildings into my town -- including premium content that I payed real money for -- but I ended up having to store a good number of them because there was nowhere to put them. I realized the significance of my house farm on my "Indolence" rating when it dropped to three-and-a-half stars (again, I had houses I wanted to incorporate into my town, but there was no room). And now I'm dreading the next level update because I'm going to have to begin just banking buildings at the top of the land area, which is something that I wanted to avoid.

I wonder if this is by design. Perhaps EA is under the impression that players enjoy building and rebuilding their towns every few weeks -- substituting this building for that building, storing seasonal buildings in favor of other seasonally appropriate buildings -- which plays on the malleable nature of the Springfield on the show. However, I want a town that utilizes everything that is available, especially anything that was purchased with donuts or anything that comes with a playable character. And that requires more land.

Ideally, I would love to have my Springfield double in size, but I suppose I'd be satisfied if it expanded at least by 50%. I'd rather have empty land versus a Springfield that looks cluttered and tacky.

Couldn't agree more. Having to choose between storing buildings or cramming them together is just wrong.
