In all honestly I'm not big on this update either. None of it is in the Springfield Guide for one thing, and yes that native costume for Lisa is straight up racist. I'm surprised she doesn't know better, and I'm glad Homer is driving that point home. I don't care about balloons, and I would have preferred the Burns Casino and the S.S. Springfield, to the Caesar's Powow and the Mayflower.

I think this kind of stuff matters more to Americans than me. I don't even want this stuff, let alone want to pay for it. That being said, I'm not going to let it ruin my day like it did for Josh.
I don't see how it's 'racist'. Just a fun costume for Lisa with fun tasks. I doubt it is supposed to be taken seriously.

I find it funny people are biatching about the racism and update. I am a 5th generation Native American that celebrates Thanksgiving and I happen to be a gay man to boot. Maybe I should moan the game isn't gay enough or hasnt had a rainbow update.
It doesn't have to offend you, for it to be racist.

Cultural appropriation is in fact racist. Look it up.

Well, as long as you know that you shouldn't have. :-)

For someone that complains all the time, you sure play the game a ton. Bizarre?

So what was said about me that got deleted? More jealousy that I was mentioned in the game and you guys weren't?
    huh? :?:

Check Josh's sig in his opening post of this thread.
But that's not real, is it?

It's real. Me as (JoshJeerer), SpAnser (as SpAndex), and a banned website (as Lamezino) got mentioned right before the Halloween update began.

Who cares if it's considered racist? Half the reason I like The Simpsons is because the show and game aren't always politically correct. How about Cletus being a white hillbilly farmer meth head? As white guy who grew up poor and on a farm. I'm offended!!! Where is the uproar from that? If people are actually offended by the game, they don't have to play nor let their kids play. It is that easy.

People will never complain about Cletus being a racist character because in today's world, its impossible to be racist toward white people. Caucasian is not a race apparently. White men are the devil and deserve it. At least that's how liberals view it.

 I have to say that the ten cycles of calling and then tapping turkeys is extremely tedious..... the turkeys are difficult to find and they disappear after a time if you dant tap them (I didnt lose one but it doesnt tell you how long you have to find them).

and the gift at then end of the level is pretty rubbish!

But, the overall update was great.

I think you've got it backwards. We have no double standards. Racism is racism. People like you have a double standard. Racism is only racism if its against a minority race to liberals such as yourself.

All I'm saying is cultural appropriation is racist. I didn't say I was outraged. I didn't say I was was offended. I simply called it out for what it was, and that I was kind of surprised that Lisa (an intelligent liberal character) didn't know any better. Homer is also calling it out for what it is, and I think its odd in this case, that he's the more culturally sensitive of the two characters. Usually its the other way around.

You see a character of a poor hillbilly meth head, created by white writers and you call that racist. It certainly is a stereotype, and if you're poor, and living around meth heads all the time, I'd understand you not appreciating Cletus' shtick. But I'm not laughing at Cletus. I'm laughing at white people who get more offended by their stereotypes, than anybody else in the room. Now that is funny stereotype, that a lot of you seem to fit.

If you're going to get all defensive about jokes against white people, acting like you're the most hard done by in society, well here a news flash: No decent person cares. Sure its technically racist, but so what? Its awesome to be white. If a Simpsons stereotype, or a joke about white people is what offends you the most today, consider yourself lucky to be white, and that that is about as bad as it gets for you.

I've only seen a taste of what different ethnicities have to go through on a daily basis, and I know, and appreciate how good I have it. If I say one self-evident thing about cultural appropriation, and your immediate reaction is to get angry, and defensive, and whine about how bad white people got it, then you sir, are a racist. And I automatically don't care about your problems. You Josh, are just a cantankerous fellow in general, so any problems with racism you have, I'm sure its come about by you just being you. :P

Good god, this is the absolute most racist post I've ever seen in my life. I can't believe someone could genuinely think this. If I replaced the word "white" with "black" in your post, it would be considered outrageous. It's sad how society has trained the youth to be so racist against white people. Truly sad. Instead of fixing the problem, society just picked a new target to oppress.

I was about to complain for you. The update was days ago.

Ok, the sign and land I agree with, however I think the mayflower is pretty cool. And the ballons are great long term decorations.
