I think you've got it backwards. We have no double standards. Racism is racism. People like you have a double standard. Racism is only racism if its against a minority race to liberals such as yourself.
All I'm saying is cultural appropriation is racist. I didn't say I was outraged. I didn't say I was was offended. I simply called it out for what it was, and that I was kind of surprised that Lisa (an intelligent liberal character) didn't know any better. Homer is also calling it out for what it is, and I think its odd in this case, that he's the more culturally sensitive of the two characters. Usually its the other way around.
You see a character of a poor hillbilly meth head, created by white writers and you call that racist. It certainly is a stereotype, and if you're poor, and living around meth heads all the time, I'd understand you not appreciating Cletus' shtick. But I'm not laughing at Cletus I'm laughing at white people who get more offended by their stereotypes, than anybody else in the room. Now that is funny stereotype, that a lot of you seem to fit.
If you're going to get all defensive about jokes against white people, acting like you're the most hard done by in society, well here a news flash: No decent person cares. Sure its technically racist, but so what? Its awesome to be white. If a Simpsons stereotype, or a joke about white people is what offends you the most today, consider yourself lucky to be white, and that that is about as bad as it gets for you.
I've only seen a taste of what different ethnicities have to go through on a daily basis, and I know, and appreciate how good I have it. If I say one self-evident thing about cultural appropriation, and your immediate reaction is to get angry, and defensive, and whine about how bad white people got it, then you sir, are a racist. And I automatically don't care about your problems.
Good god, this is the absolute most racist post I've ever seen in my life. I can't believe someone could genuinely think this. If I replaced the word "white" with "black" in your post, it would be considered outrageous. It's sad how society has trained the youth to be so racist against white people. Truly sad. Instead of fixing the problem, society just picked a new target to oppress.
Let's assume Josh's post here is satire because, after all, in any meaningful discussion to simply swap out groups of people (who have different cultural and historical backgrounds) in the same context and then apply the same conclusions would be nonsensical.

No, it's me being colorblind...something that racist liberals don't understand. Every race should be treated completely equally. Once you start favoring one race over the other, it becomes racism. It doesn't matter which race you are favoring.

You are trying to divorce racism from history, culture, and societal context. "Color blind" does not mean blind to the culture and history of a group of people - which groupings have also often included race. When differing groups of people live together in a community they will advocate for their own group's wants and needs. Conflicting wants and needs leads to argument, strife, compromise, and inequity. Sometimes people forget that a society's dominant culture is only a culture and not the culture. What you may believe to be "treating someone as equal" may be seen as otherwise from that someone's perspective because they disagree with the dominant culture.

I'm not ignoring history. I'm saying lets move past it. We were racist toward blacks. It was wrong. We ended that. Now we're racist toward whites. That's not any better. We need to have equality, not racism on the other end.

Acceptance of cultural appropriation = racist
"Colourblind" = white privilege - acceptance of privilege = racist
Getting angry and defensive about being called a racist = racist
Being a known jerk in general + discussing racial issues = racist
Making assumptions about my political and racial preferences, based on me calling out racism for being racist = racist
Assuming that racism against black people ended, while things like stop-and-frisk continue = super racist.
Acting like an oppressed white person without giving any specific examples of being oppressed, besides being the **** of a joke in a cartoon = hilariously racist.
