Just got paid for the 4hr task and re deployed him on a 6hr one while he is still doing the 24hr task....so in 10hrs time I may have 2 Homers

I too have an overly enthusiastic Homer right now

He is both eating some massive chilli, and simultaneously organising a turkey hunt

At first, I thought it was - thanks to the hype from the Mapple store - the multitasking abilities of my brand new iPad air doing wonders. :shock: then I remembered I don't have one of those yet... :oops:


In my case, I think this has happened thus:
The update downloaded on my iPhone (4s) last night. Nothing new triggered, but all characters were off doing tasks, so I thought nothing of it.
Update downloaded on my iPad (3) this morning, and the turkey quests kicked in - nice.
I sent homer off to organise the turkey hunt.

Back to my iPhone, as I was out and about.
When to KL to pick up some tickets - homer is wandering around. Strange... Could have sworn he was on a task!

Went back to SF, and spot that some of my new balloons are missing. Stranger still.
Homer is still walking about too...
Checked the task list, nope nothing for him to do, except go eat chilli.
Hmmm. Must have missed him ending the turkey quest. Maybe.

Hey ho. Send him off to eat

Force quit the game on iPhone.

Restart, and now on both iPhone and iPad, everything is where it should be - except Homer, who is in two different places

12 hours to go until either one finishes, will report back...

Homer finished his 24 hour in the house task and jumped out of the kids swimming pool task he was on.....disappointingly no doppelganger.

he got paid for all tasks though

Anybody an old Firesign Theatre fan? They have a routine called 'How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all'.

I've tried to see if I could get Homer to do the multitasking thing but wasn't able. Would be a nice regular feature when you have a character in two quest lines at the same time but not likely to happen.

Well that ended up ok.

Both tasks finished, both gave sp, both marked as complete :-)

Minor panic, as Homer's next task was to go hunting turkey, and despite all 3 of them doing so, I didn't have the tick on the task showing it was in progress... :-o

Re synced though, and all showing as it should :-)

I once had Moe doing two things at a time, but only got paid for the first one to finish, I wrote about it here on the forum. I believe my finger accidentally tapped on two tasks simultaneously.
