CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT: The TSTO forums will be closed on December 13th, 2023. Read more about the future of the forums here.

Is this worth our time and money?

Wait till December 5. That's when a likely update will happen. A lot of people once they max out work on what it takes to be five stars and tweaking their towns. That totally keeps their interests.

Lots of people here are maxed out on levels, but the levels is not how they get enjoyment from the game. Arranging their town to look how they want it and saving up cash to buy land to expand and grow are all things to enjoy past merely levelling up. If you're trying to convince people that the game is boring, the user forums populated by the people already having fun in the game might not be the best place to do it.

Don't give up on life... More levels, tasks, and items will come eventually. Suicide's not the answer! ;)

Then go ahead. No one is stopping you. Enjoy your life. Go outside. Find a significant other. Explore the world. Just remember to thank the lack of updates from EA for the wonderful things that will happen to you in the future.

Echoing the earlier statement, there's plenty to do without levelling up. Check out some of the DIY buildings that have been posted recently on this forum.

As for donuts, they are indeed expensive, but given that I'd pay money for a console game, that I get less entertainment from, it can be worth it. Just a small donut purchase would get you a premium character and another building, and the quests that come with them.. Should be enough to keep you going until the next update... which everyone expects around the 5th.

Lastly, there's the forum, which can be quite entertaining at time, and opens up some new ways of enjoying the game.

The numbers of the lvl 23 maxed club are growing daily so you're not alone.

Agree donuts are expensive, say in comparison to the cost of console game but you have to admit that for a free game it's pretty entertaining, can be frustrating and annoying at times but still entertaining.

Hang in there an update is only just around the corner but in the meantime you can re-Homer your town and destroy it again and re-build it as you wish, rather than on expanding the initial town layout from the tutorial.

If you are getting really bored just set the characters for 24hr tasks and visit once daily until the updates come, that way the town ticks over, you still make some $ and get a free mystery box every 5 days.

Nothing wrong with doing other stuff and having a life outside the game but seems a shame to scrap the game now you have a fairly well developed lvl 23 town.

I am actually having a blast with this "downtime", redesigning and rearranging my town. As a nurse I deal with so many serious issues on a daily basis and I find Tapped Out a great way to wind down and be creative. It is quite possible to have a life and still have a great time with TSTO even without an update (don't get me wrong, I am very excited for an update too). I also have to echo Sonny on this one, this forum is probably not the best place to convince people this is a boring game...

This is a real waste of time thread. The time it took to read this Weill never be given back to me. I feel some how cheated!

If you're truly bored with the game, then quit. It's not the job of the users here to convince you otherwise. I find it rather petty that you have to build up your self-esteem by denigrating others who still enjoy the game. Or are you just trolling?
