What about people who already buy donuts? Why should we have our game lagged out or have to endure an ad banner just so the ungrateful leeches have something else to complain about? You know no matter how many they give for "free" the unwashed masses will still feel as if they are entitled to more.
Booom!!! totally agree. There's always gona be someone asking for more! Even if they do add this ppl will say they don't get enough donuts for watching a advert. U can't win so leave it ad free. (IMO)

What about the people who already paid for donuts? I already bought BOATLOADS. Who cares? There will be new content coming out for a while, so a few extra donuts never hurts. Especially if it benefits both sides. Nobody said you'd have to endure anything, because I clearly said if the ads were optional.
I would consider it, but only if it was some sort of pre-game advertisement.
I think that having a subscription option might work well in conjunction with this as an alternative and/or upgrade - basically the option to pay to avoid the ads and still get the content (though depending on the subscription amount I better be getting a comparable number of donuts. If I was paying 5 bucks a month I should be getting more than 10 donuts.)
All of this also supposes that we get to keep the option of current gameplay, and earn donuts at a slower rate through play or pay for them a la carte.
Occasionally as the game starts up, a screen pops in with a "watch this?"
If you watch, typically 30 sec advert for some other game, the reward is one in game currency (ie a donut)
If you choose not to watch, no currency.
Simples, not overly intrusive, and an easy way to rack up currency at a half decent rate.
Does also have a Tapjoy link, as mentioned earlier in this thread
I wouldn't want ads to intrude within the game itself, BUT if they had an option within the game to watch ad videos, for an exchange of doughnuts I'd be very happy with that. Honestly this would work for everyone, especially EA. However the sum of doughnuts would have to be at least 5 per ad. Hell, maybe they can even give more for longer ads. For example a one minute ad would give 5d, a 2-3 minute ad for 10d, and subscription based ads would be worth at least 20-25d.
If there's anyone from EA who looks at this thread, I hope they bring this up to someone who can maybe get this idea rolling. Or at least give us a reason why an idea like this wouldn't be feasible.
