Awwwww did I hurt your feelings??? Let me guess you all have 200 brown houses and your game crashes all the time. I guess people don't mind being insulted because I just pulled in 20 new friends
Oh goodie! rdee22 has issued us a challenge. Let's all compete to see whose invitation rdee22 accepts so we all know whose Springfield measures up to the challenge!
Seriously, rdee22 must have meant this as a "clever" way to get people to add him/her so (s)he doesn't have to use one of the MANY add me threads on this forum or add people on his/her own initiative. Unfortunately, rdee22, we are not amused.
I agree I added 30 friends today and they all * just scattered everywhere I try to take a little pride I do have a few corners that are yet to be done but most of it I try to make nice

Ironically enough, you're saying this in a forum full of people obsessed with this game. Most of which take great pride in their town's design. The people you're referring to aren't the people who will be reading this. The people you're referring to have one post, and that post is (hopefully) in one of the dozens of Add-Me threads (where it belongs, where your post belongs). So your insults are in vain, as well as your subsequent defensiveness.
If you want quality friends, this just isn't the way to get them.
Don't really understand all the hate. All I wanted was to see some good designs after looking at crap all day
I understand the reason behind your post, but like I said this just isn't the right way to go about it. Personally, almost all of my friends have really great towns that clearly took a lot of time and effort to create. But I've spent weeks on this thread meeting people, adding people, and deleting the less favorable friends. Simply stating that every town you've seen is a disappointment and requesting "better" friends just won't cut it. If you want better friends, put in the effort and I'm sure you'll be as successful as I was.
I spent a lot of time on my town and put in a lot of thought I hope it lives up to this gold standard. It's still a work in progress I need lots more real estate. I do have friends with many homes they must like them a lot. 8)

Lol I don't know that sounds like a lot of work. Who sounds like a **** now "be successful like you". Haha. I'd just rather put this thread up and have people add me to see my gold standard and hopefilly see something creative and then get the $ and xp
How many of those 20 met your standard? If you want quality friends, you're going to have to hunt for them. Making an add me thread will mostly net people as lazy as you. (You're too lazy to look, they're too lazy not to farm.) Sure, you may snag a few who accepted a challenge, but most people with nice towns probably won't care to add someone being rude.

The people with the best towns probably have as many friends as they want (or are at the cap). By the time you get to level 23 and have a well-designed town, you've played long enough to be familiar with your friends' towns and have a good rapport with them (even if they started out as strangers).
If you think I'm going to drop a friend just to add you based on your first post, you're crazy. Most of my friends were new players when I was, and we "grew up" together. You'll probably have to do the same, but it's actually fun to see everyone's town grow and start to take on unique decor as friends progress through the game.

Mr/Ms rdee22 is obvioulsy a very nescient individual.
I commend your patience xrobotlove, but such individuals who are bereft of even basic social skills are unlikely to understand your point. Good try, though!

This. Thanks dromtsul, you clarified the point I was trying to make. The amount of effort you put in is what you will receive, true for most things in life
I suppose you just judged this entire forum of what I'm guessing...is a few crappy towns, and tbh I doubt yours is anything amazing...but also tbh I ain't gonna bother adding you either just to check...we play this game for fun...if people have fun but you don't consider their town 'good enough' then who cares
Aorry for starting a thread complaining about people's house farms when all I wanted was to see some actual creativity in this game. I'm almost level 22 with 4 stars and did it with one brown house! And guess what my rude scheme worked because I had plenty of people add me and show me some real good Springfields.
You still don't get that most of us are not into the "rude thing". Reset your approach and you may find people more willing to share their ideas. If you'd done that I might have shown you my Pink Floyd Hedge, but nope.
Try again in a week or so. . . but nicely. You know . . Canadian.
Maybe starting this thread was just a thinly veiled attempt on the part of rdee22 to skirt the accepted practices, but a couple of the replies here seem unnecessarily unfriendly. There are a few people on this forum who do a great job of gently pushing people in the right direction. Too bad that didn't happen here.
I am a fan of rdee's Springfield and found the op amusing.

Ah, I suppose that is the definition of ignorance.
