( To my knowledge, the Thanksgiving event hasn't even ended yet, btw.)

It could be that you have your task book closed, so it won't show any pending quests. Try opening it.

Thanks to the people who tried to help. I thought that the quest might be in the task book it is not there either.

The question I have is. Is there an Expiry date on new character missions?

once you start a quest it doesn't stop unless it's event related (like the quest for halloween event). When you get a new character and their quest starts they don't stop till completition. Try storing the casino, force close the app, reopen it, place it back, and the Indian guy shall be out with the ! over his head. This usually works. If not, try doing all the quests pending.
