Weak show, lame tie-in. I agree with your comment regarding the Cool Brown House tie-in. With the Homer skin and tasks, the cool Brown House tie-in was well thought out and a great addition to the game. These past two tie-is have been really lame, very little creativity, and little more than thinly veiled cash grabs.

Definitely not my fav episode either. Agree that the second half just sort of lost it. Having Bart tasks tie in with the sub would have been awesome. I like the sub in my town but the truck tie in was really weak - at least the truck was free.

But not really EA's fault the episode was sub par.

    I really liked it.
I thought it had a better tie-in with the show than the homerland did where they only showed the radioactive barrel for just a few seconds.

The international krustys were hilarious :D
Jamican itchy and scratchy were ok but im not a big fan of their violence.

From the beginning, I didnt think bart would get to go on the sub.
It was just a matter of time before he got marked off the list.
Also, bart not getting on the sub was a catalyst for setting up the prank(s) on skinner.
If he would have gone on the sub, there would have been no revenge motif

I also like when milhouse fired a torpedo and then it blew up in the background :-)

    PS
mwdalton and neo are off the list! *evil cackle*

I missed the episode (out to dinner with gf). What was the deal with the truck they released for the tie in? Just wondering so I can find a place to place it appropriately.

It crashed and spilled out obstacles for bart to run over / navigate on his way running to get to school on time.

Ah, hence the obstacle truck. Ok, thanks.

I agree with mostly everybody's feedback! BUT XBL-Heretic was spot on.
Data surgeon..... The secret between Lisa and Skinner if I am correct was that "Lisa and four nerds" made the video introduction for the submarine field trip!
Which I thought was a VERY weak tie in besides the free truck we got. They could've done a much better job. Of course this is my opinion but it seems to be the general consensus that the episodes nowadays, it pretty much seems like they are phoning them in! Just playing around with ideas in my mind I thought it would be entirely different from what it was. But there were absolutely genuine funny things in the show up until a little more than halfway through!

I liked the episode, but I think it would have been better if the tie in had been used with Krusty. Or at least used Bart with the sub. Ah well, atleast truck was free.

It was a pretty bad/unfunny episode; but, I don't blame EA for the lackluster tie-ins (or accuse it of a cash grab). If you were the game developer, what item featured in the episode would you introduce into the game?

The submarine was the most logical item. The obstacle truck was one of the more notable scenery. EA is probably contractually obligated to do X number of tie-ins each season and given the episode this was the best they could come up with.

Anyway, I like the truck and I like the submarine. Certainly not as good as the Three-Eyed Sushi but still a decent in-game item (irrespective of tie-in relevancy).

That is a very plausible Guess/Opinion!
It's called an episode tie-in for a reason. That is why we got A Tom Clancy submarine for Donuts and Oscars obstacles semi-truck for free.
The submarine was shown and featured more than the truck was. The truck was in one short sequence. The submarine wasn't used as well as it could've been. Not that every episode tie in has to be. It's my opinion that they had a great starting off point but just ruined it.
When we got the cool Brown house and cool Homer skin & Tasks,Plus the devil donut cart!, the entire episode featured the theme. I just think they could've done a better job with the submarine storyline. I was looking forward to that.

Since Milhouse blew up the lighthouse with the torpedo--
Would like to have a Damaged or Toppled Lighthouse as decoration for the beach area.

    Hahaha. Duly noted!

IMO,What they really should've done was focused the story more around Bart in the submarine wreaking all kinds of havoc.
They started out funny but when they got into the Agnes Skinner Fake murder storyline I think they could've had a solid hilarious storyline with Bart and other characters inside the Submarine! Just in the short time since it aired I can think of a few funny lines!

Nelson muntz..... "Yoink" as he swipes nuclear weapon launch codes and or keys.
Bart "Looking through periscope at the Sea Captain's boat and or Squid Port" "Milhouse, Fire the torpedoes!" Or looking through the periscope and seeing Skinner on deck and saying thar she blows, get ready to fire harpoon. Or something similar!

I just think they could have done a way better job IMO!

C'mon people, the truck was a joke on you all. It was meant to be a lame let-down. The game made a big deal about it all week and then we find out that it's just a truck we saw for two seconds. Hilarious!
