So how to place giftbags?

Your friends need to have downloaded the update for you to place bags. Then you just tap the icon in the top right and they'll drop.

Should be an icon in the upper right corner of neighbors springfield if you are able to place them.

I also don't have the option to gift to neighbours, even to those who have updated the game.
Both my sister and I did the Christmas update this morning and neither of us can gift.
Must be a bug in the game.

I had the same problem but after I logged out and logged back in it started working .

Same here. can only drop giftbags in the other springfield but nowhere else...weird.

Yeah I've tried logging out and logging back in (also getting thrown off the game due to connection errors) and still no option.

Okay I've figured it out. You cannot gift until Lisa asks you to. Once she tells you to send gifts to your neighbours, then you will see the icon.
A little silly the developers have done it this way.

So far i like this Christmas event only set back i find is that when some neighbors drops gifts in my town
some of them are hard to find due to that they sometimes lands behind buildings and i have to highlight
my town to find them.
Other than that the game is running smoothly on my Ipad and that is great

The game is pretty stingy supplying us with gift bags to place in our neighbors' towns.
