Anyone else see what EA is doing? Now I'm getting angry.

This thread is great. My favorite part is that people still think Josh is serious with these complaints. C'mon guys! Do you really think that somebody who hates every single update would still be playing? Heck, Josh even made a thread once about how he actually loves the game! Everybody, just calm down.

    Sure! *Squishy hugs* :D

Thank you, it's good to feel needed.

And to those telling me not to play: Why shouldn't I? It's my right to play it. I want improvements though.

If you showed up and praised every aspect of the game, you would get the same crap from the same people.

The whole gift bag drop off is perplexing to me. I have tons of them but only because I bought several elf houses and added a ton of the holiday trees to the ones I already had, these all pay off big. I'm trying to leave as many bags as I can in other people's towns.... The obvious problem is, most people playing this game don't by the premium content which is totally understandable. So, they are not receiving hardly any gift bags to drop off. Also, in the thousands of gift cards I've earned, I have only received one Krusty Coin... So someone, please explain, what is the positive side to gift bags other than going toward the community prizes? It would make more sense that for every 10 gift bags dropped off in neighbors towns, we'd get a Krusty Coin as immediate incentive to keep trying to earn the gift bags.

Hmmm, thats a very good comment chair, well said. I myself play freemium so can not see how we will reach global targets and have received 1 coin, lucky i guess.

You pretty much just said "Giving Christmas gifts to other people, What's in it for me?" Go watch any Christmas movie, and ponder it.

What incentive did you have to place snake eggs in your neighbors town?

    I'm not worried.

There are enough folks out there with spreadsheets, psychological profiles of their neighbors, and eleventy feeder towns to carry the community. Don't forget about the folks who want to be the founding members of the 100k gift card club! I'm already working on my super-sweet "participant" badge. We all know they're out there, right now, culling their lazy neighbors who STILL haven't started the weeks-long event 24 hours in. Did they drop dead or something? Get detained in North Korea?

Even if the community prizes are intentionally out of reach, so what? EA won't be *forcing* anyone to spend donuts, same as ever. You always have to choose to spend donuts. Just relax and tap happy! I know, it's a strange idea.

No body worry. I just compiled a comprehensive spreadsheet accounting for all the variables in the game. I then created numerous charts and graphs with that data. Then just to be certain all my figures are correct, I utilized a tool that we used in my Intro to Logic class way back when I was in college. If A is the number of gift cards earned; then, the number of people (B) is just under 30 million. (This is the abridged version so now to the analysis). If A and B equal C, but do not equal H; then, we will get all the community prizes. If D is not equal to I; then, H can not be equal to D and we will get nothing. Then of course there's all the variables in between. It's really quite complex.

(If you think I'm serious that was total sarcasm. Life is too short for anything other than spreadsheets.)

If this was the middle of the last century, we could turn him in to the feds for being a communist and be done with him.

Seriously, tho, you have to remember that this is a FREE game (which includes paid content) and doesn't even have ads in it (save for the obvious Watch the Simpsons ad). EA is a company and they have to pay their employees real money to make this stuff and to do that they need to make SOME money on this.

EA will most assuredly speed up the counter, make the prizes easier to obtain then make a joke about it in-game. This game is awesome!!!!!

Oh holy crap... Are you that ridiculous to try and draw a parallel to dropping off fake gift bags in fake towns in a game to real life? You are missing MY point totally.

I'm going to point you to the part of my comment where I say I am leaving lots of gift bags in my neighbors towns because I am able to. I DO NOT EXPECT My neighbors to be able to receprocate because of the nature of this game and how freemium players can't keep up with premium players I think EA is being really, really, really cheap... You know, stingywith the Krusty Coins by not giving the freemium players some behavioral incentive to keep visiting towns to obtain a Krusty Coin once in a while. I have got one coin to use in one gift bag and I've got lots and lots of gift cards. If I've gotten only one coin, that means most people have got none. I'm not Ebanezer Scrooge but I see that EA is trying to force players into buying Krusty Coins and donuts while providing us with slipshod customer service and inadequate computer server space. Try waiting for three weeks while your game crashes every time you try to visit a neighbor or your Krustyland. So...

Thank you for trying to give me a lesson in charity. If you knew me in real life, you would have never been so quick to speculate as to character.

How am I contradicting myself? They set the counter during Halloween to give us all prizes just in time. Now that they got our trust, they're setting the counter to, at best, give us 1 prize. Then they will charges donuts for the rest. They get off without looking greedy by saying "hey...we offered it for free but you failed to reach the goal...sorry!"

I imagine you as a kid... writing a letter to Santa Claus asking for thousands of gifts and only getting a couple of them...
What a bad childhood you must have had.. you're so unlucky, people always get everything they want in life, right? Why not you?

Sssshhhhhhh! A lot of us enjoy all the people that get **** hurt over his posts. It is absolutely hilarious. Some of them have been posting in his threads for months and they still don't get it. My favorites are the ones who tell him to quit playing, yet they can't even quit reading his threads. Too funny.
