People are not bashing people who chose to buy spin coins. We're bashing on people who chose to buy spin coins and then complain about bad spins and how EA is trying to fleece them out of their money.

EA intends for you to get the spin prizes by playing the game and receiving free spin coins. Buying a spin coin is akin to speeding up this process. Do you get amazing returns for speeding up Brown Houses? Then why are people expecting
amazing returns for speeding up the spin coin prize process?

Players are frustrated that an ingame feature they really like is being put down just because a minority of unhappy spin coin buyers don't feel like they're getting their money's worth. The spin coin mechanic is perfectly fine. The problem is the players buying the spin coins and refusing to understand what they are purchasing.

Well said. It is unreasonable to make a bet on a longshot and then cry foul play when you lose. I think the wheel is a fun addition to the holiday event. Every couple of hours someone with no self control makes a thread crying about how they just spent $40 gambling and now feel unsatisfied. No one blames the slot machine when they don't win. No one goes online and claims the lottery is fixed because their ticket didn't win. We're all adults here (maybe?)

The OP makes it sound like you will only get free santa coins from collecting from friends, but does not acknowledge we will all get one free every 24hr for the remainder of the event. If you know you are going to get 30 free spins, why would you buy coins until you have all of the prizes? That's insane! Any reasonable person would say, let me wait until the end of the event, and then I'll play until I mop up what prizes are left.

The bottom line is compulsion. Some people have no self control, and then they want to blame that on EA. "But I'm a completionist!" no, you're a very large child who cant say no to themselves.

Well, I can't speak for everyone, but I can tell you why it would frustrate me. If no one bought any of these extras, then the prices would drop. That or the game would go under, but which seems more likely? The point I am making is that by buying these, you're sending a message that you support it and I am sure there are some people who don't. I know I'd like to be able to earn donuts in game at a more practical rate. This is never going to change though, because EA keeps making so much money off of donuts, there is no reason to make them easier to get. Unless people stop buying them.

I found it strange that people will rush buy everything as soon as an update is released. You get like a month to win prizes ans stuff so it seems a little rash to pay for everything on day one. Not so much strange for the monetary reasons actually, strange because it takes all the fun out of it. Like how when you were a kid you bought those magazines to assemble a working model of the human body or build a model plane over like 2000 issues when you could just buy one for like 20 bucks. It's just more fun to spread it out than to buy it all on day one then make a "where's the next update" thread. You know?

I thought most the stuff on the wheel could only be gotten via the wheel
