Welcome to the internet. Every forum has trolls, complainers and annoyances like multiple threads of the exact same thing and they always will. I was a mod/admin on a few forums in the past and you can only do so much. I do agree this place could be cleaned up a bit but as far as forums go it's not the worst run.

Good post and I wanna say that I checked out your Springfield panorama and it's so well organized and overall just really awesome!! :!:

Thanks! I hope to keep the creative juices flowing that's if EA can release some land so I can keep it up or else I might just start to break stuff or cram stuff in which I think loses the point of creativity. :(
I do have to completely agree with you about the multiple threads.. if people would browse at least the first two freaking pages of the forum before posting a new topic, there would be soooo many less duplicate threads. I just can't fathom going to an internet forum looking for an answer to something and not even bothering to browse the first two pages. Even worse, lately it seems like people don't even bother to read THE FIRST PAGE of the forum before making a new thread.
    Ok...end rant. As you were.

Spot on. It's like they have more time to post and wait for an answer when an answer could be right there.

You rock, LandOfComedy! You took the words right our of my mouth! Nice going, dude!

This week I was reading an article how the government has been spying on World of Warcraft users, and it made me think about this game. Interesting times we live in.

Ya and that's old news, mainstream just let it out because it was all over alternative news for years now so how long can government keep things on the hush. WAIT I retract my statement. Government is our best friend and tells us everything.

Haha no I think all mechanics use that for short. Even though I only am entry level tech.(a side job somewhat of a hobby kind of, also always good to know a few trades)
Too many words in the English language have the same word meaning different things. It's all in context I guess.

I don't post on here a lot and mostly just read it to get ideas or find out about updates. This is a forum about a cell phone game that some people are taking way to serious. It is not even a game that can be won and there is no side to root for. I don't know how many people on here frequent other forums but it seems like they have never heard of a troll and this forum feeds the trolls way to much. Apparently even the game it self feeds the trolls which to me is just scary. Threads like this are just going to make the trolls so happy to see they actually are making people mad or causing others to talk about them. Stop feeding the trolls have fun playing your own game don't criticize others.

Serious question, going through the original post and reading all the others, how can you seem to be so angry at EA (accusing them of being like secret spies trying to bankrupt us minions) and still continue to play for coming on a year now? I don't understand this hatred for a company that is a business. It's not a charity. You can buy a coat for $4000.00 or you can buy one for $40.00.

I for one love EA. Thank you for providing me almost a year of this insanley addictive thing that I can play anywhere. I've grown up playing games so I know the value you get per dollar.

If you want them to stop 'monitoring' your 'moods' and 'forcing' you to have that 'one thing' than maybe just stop playing EA games altogether.

Because its a good game if it weren't for the corporate greed. The same can be said about society.

Corporate greed is actually a good thing, the same way investment bankers being greedy is a good thing. Greedy people are necessary in society.

It always surprises me how the people complaining about corporate / banking greed are the same ones complaining that they're not getting enough growth in their pension plans and how they're not paid enough for their hard work. It's as if they have zero understanding of basic economics.

    Oh, wait.

:lol: There's a different group of people who just don't get it. Capitalism is great for bankers and corporations. There are other ways of living that befit ALL. I don't think you've thought that far into it.

So - you don't have any savings, or a current account, or a pension, or a mortgage, a debit or credit card, or an employer? You don't buy any products manufactured by large corporations? You don't pay for services from them?

If bankers didn't make a profit, you wouldn't get any growth on your pension plan - you'd have to sort that out for yourself, or work through retirement. You wouldn't get any interest on your savings. You wouldn't be able to borrow money to buy a house. You wouldn't be able to use the bank's retail services to pay your bills and withdraw cash from an ATM. You'd be paid in cash which you'd then have to stick under your mattress, and you'd be paid significantly less because payroll would have to be done manually rather than automated, all that cash your employer needs would need a vault and security and time locks and insurance except, wait, insurance companies benefit from capitalism too, so they're out, so if your employer gets knocked over and they have no money to pay you, oh, tough. You wouldn't be able to go online, much less shop there; you wouldn't have a smartphone on which to play this game. All these things are the product of "greedy bankers and corporations".

I don't know what exactly you're suggesting as an alternative (Communism? Religious Communism? Anarchism? Socialism?) but the alternatives to capitalism are not viable. We've seen what Communism does. I don't think anyone can actually make an intelligent argument in favour of Anarchy. Socialism is just an excuse for unproductive members of society to demand their "fair" share - they want to contribute less and still have the same lifestyle as those who are doing the real work and have the real talent. Well, call me crazy, but that sort of thinking is what got us into this mess in the first place: banks bending over backwards to accommodate the excessive borrowing of those unfit to recognise their own economic limitations.

Capitalism is NOT the problem. The free market is NOT the problem. If they were the problem, then every capitalist country would be in the same position as the USA, and they're not.

I've thought further into it than you know and, unlike 99% of the population, I understand it. My position is based on facts, not "humourous" little comics.

In any case, the point being made here was that EA have every right to turn as much profit as they can. In fact, we want them to. The more money they're making, the more they can put back into the game, which means server upgrades, more / better developers, rights to more content, which all leads to a better gameplay experience for us.

I don't want to get too into politics on a game forum plus there so much misinformation out there so some people don't really know what's going on. Nothing in politics ever happened by chance it is perfectly planned one famous man had said. Also most people get news from mainstream media which spill out lies or fact and fiction out together. The real problem is the Elite and these banksters who're mostly everything see this world as a big video game and a big business nothing more. Do you know your a business entity and being sold on the stock market as we speak. Do the research. It's not EA but the people that gives EA orders. We never had no freedom. We only had the liberty to do what they told us or allowed us too. It a big scam and its been working for YEARS. Not all business and corporations are evil but they get bought out or taken over which most people don't hear about. Then you hear slight changes happening never knowing what really is happening.

"Out of sight is out off mind and what the eye don't see the heart doesn't Grieve about"

The real truth is stranger than fiction. You got to understand signs and symbols rule the world not words nor law.
In short (because I could write books for days on this subject) the system doesn't want you to be self sufficient. They want you to be dependent on them. Deliberately dumbing people down to make people more manageable. Time goes by people forget the past and new generations form and new knowledge is fed to people due to lack of experience and rewriting history. Waking up is just the first step.

"but the true humour of "****" could be lost to non Brit gay people....... It is an affectionate nickname for a ****"

Means the same thing here in the U.S., but I don't think it's viewed as "affectionate" here. It's one of those things where if you ARE one you can use it affectionately, but if you're NOT, it's usually taken as a slur.

    I agree with the OP....

Obviously I just started playing but I've been looking through this forum, and all I see are "OMG Christmas update NOW", then it turned 180 degrees into comapliants.

It's a game, play it. Like it, keep at it. Don't like it, stop. Nobody is making you play this game, you play at your own will and descretion.

Also, foe every positive needs a negative. Yin and yang, common sense.

There are obvious few people don't understand what a troll is or what a trolls job is. ... All you have to do is ignore such threads or read and go on about your business.

Why do you excuse the troll's behavior but take exception to a response that condemns the troll for being the blight he is on overall discourse? I get it, he is on your friend's list. That's how you decide who is right and who is wrong.

Complacency? That is your solution? Ignoring a problem will make it go away? Try that with an overdue bill or a looming project deadline and see how it works out.

I read a post one time that I can paraphrase to fit the situation that bothers you: All you have to do is ignore responses to the trolls and go on about your business.

    ***

You are right about multiple threads and people that rush tasks and complain about having nothing to do. What did you think would happen when you compressed three weeks worth of activity into an afternoon?

Until they create a financial mechanism to gamble on and blow it and everyone else has to bail them out. That is no longer capitalism when the failures are not allowed to "die" as they deserve.
