The only way I would pay for an additional quest line would be if it came with a skin, building, and/or decoration. Otherwise forget about it. Besides they are not "useless" once the quest is over. I can repeat the same jobs over and over and still get 50% more xp and cash.

the thing is there are some premium that dont even have a questline (just an example patty and selma pet whatever is its name) or the candy dude from this event. The candy dude dont even have jobs!

Yup, I made the mistake of buying "candy dude" without checking. I just assumed he had tasks.
Since when are they useless? They earn tons of cash for going out to eat or sitting in a hot tub. Right now, my whole town has been sent to eat at a restaurant of their choosing (part of a quest) they are whooping it up for 4 hours. I would not be happy about spending donuts to make the story progress.

Jub jub had a questline! It was like only one task (make Selma hug jub jub I think) but still! And of course candy Kevin doesn't have a questline if he has no tasks - I only recall one that did and that was king snorky..

And jub jub has a permanent 12 hour task that makes 50% more than reg characters... PLUS the building, def worth 90 donuts.. Less than half the cost of Santas village w way better items

You would not have to spend any donuts. These wold be extra quests. This was also why I suggested 5 donuts. If it was cheap enough, you know you would buy them.

If the extra tasks cost 5 donuts, how is that not spending any donuts?
I'm with the general consensus: if I've already forked out donuts for a premium character, I expect a half-decent questline for them; when that's done, they're far from useless. If I'm going to fork out extra donuts, I want something new for it - something that actually generates revenue, like a character, building, or multiplier-boosting decoration.

I meant that you don't have to buy it of you don't want to.
Not just tasks but a new story line as well.
Forget that I even mentioned it.
I must be the only one who doesn't task characters on story line quests.
Your explanation in your original post was to use donuts if you want to initiate new quest lines... Then you tell us we wouldn't use donuts to do this....
I don't believe I would ever spend don't on just a quest line but perhaps some people would pay donuts to redo a quest line to get the cash and xp again. (Doubt that they would want goo or other obsolete items)

No, apparently I didn't put in one tiny qualifier.
You don't have to spend any donuts if you do not want to. You then would not get the extra quests and tasks.
Spend 5 donuts if you want and get extra quests and storyline.
I didn't think this was a complicated concept.
Don't spend don't get. Spend and get.

You mean to tell me I have the freedom to decide if I purchase premium items?! WHOA! Someone take back this volcano lair!
If you don't task characters on story line quests, why on earth do you think people will pay donuts for more story line quests?! You're making less and less sense.
Come on guys, stop posting in this thread. We don't need to put any stupid ideas into EA's head. You know how this will work, if they implement it? It will be like DLC. They will make the quest line and cut off the end of it and for that end piece they will charge you. This reminds me of this:
