Part 14 problem

I'm not there yet, but I've seen many posts here from others who are seeing the same thing. Seems like the Springfielders don't spend much time in any one restaurant, it's just a town-wide feeding frenzy. I guess I'll find out for sure when I get to this part, tomorrow.

It's OK...that's just what they do, it's like they're sampling. There've been a couple of threads about it. You should see their timers going as usual for the 8-hour task.

Yep. That's what they do. Rush from one restaurant to the next, for hours. I can't imagine what strain that would put on the servers (I mean the EA computers ... Although I can't imagine what strain it would put on restaurant servers, either)

Wouldn't all this visual chaos take some major code implementation? Between all the snow movement, and all these dozens of characters moving around outdoors, in one quest after another, I'm surprised this game is still functioning.

I've been watching my current one, which is Springfielders searching for Homer and Lisa, and have over 50 characters moving in and out of various homes, and SOMEHOW the programmers figured out how to be sure that when Fat Tony goes into the Flanders home, it's Fat Tony who comes back out. Multiply that by my 50+ characters and multiple homes! and the possible number of permutations seems astronomical.

    Just sayin'. :)

Exactly. I just mentioned in another thread what a pain it was to take them off task when they were finished as the game was seriously lagging. Nothing froze though and luckily we have the spend donut notification or else I would have wasted a lot.
