Spending $ to XP
57 posts
Spending $ on stuff earns you XP. The XP earns when the item builds. The bonus is 10% of $ spent, or sometimes a little less. Decorative items build instantly. Buildings take time.
If you have money to burn and want to level up quickly, buy blue dumpsters. 1 dumpster = $1000 = 104/105 XP (with conformity bonus). So for example 10 blue houses = $4680 per day. If you consider that the game pays out XP at roughly 10% of $ (so a $100 building pays 10 XP), but with a minimum of 2XP, then effectively the XP earn rate is doubled, once for earning, once for burning.
I wouldn't recommend extra spending though, because generally the dollars spent in the game mean that it levels up faster than you complete the quests.
E.g., Level 10 requires:
30 minute task
30 minute task
24 hour build
24 hour task
6 hour task
12 hour task
24 hour build
6 hour task
12 hour task
12 hour task
Total 121 hours/5 days
Waiting for the tasks is a much bigger bottleneck than your experience.....
