Enough Is Enough

Maybe it was just your phone...?

I have problems with the game crashing on my iPod too, but it's never done anything to the actual device. I doubt the game itself could have hurt your phone.

I've played this game since day one and I've begrudgingly tolerated bug after bug and crash after crash. I devote some time to play this game. I can't take it any more. I was in the middle of playing the latest build on my brand new 5s tonight and it didn't just crash to the home screen as usual. It crashed my whole damn phone. When I went to power it back up it would show the Apple logo then shut off. If I plug it in it gets stuck in an endless reboot loop. Way to go EA. You've bricked my brand new device. Thanks a lot.
Holy crap! :O I seriously hope the game isn't capable of that!

Sorry to hear about the problems you are having with your device...

...I really don't think the phone being bricked is the fault of TSTO, otherwise there would be tens of thousands of people screaming very loudly about it.

Every now and then a sophisticated piece of hardware is made that has problems, I think you were just unlucky enough to get the bad device.

I'm sure you can get it fixed or replaced.

It's not the app. Call AppleCare.

Also, "bricked." You keep using this word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I don't think that is the cause of your phone crashing. If it's brand new and not jailbroken, you should be able to return it and get a replacement. It could even be a bad battery or something. Go to your nearest Apple store.
