Since we've got threads with people gloating about completing the prize wheel, I thought I would make a thread about the opposite. Daily updates are welcome.
68000+ gift cards and no yeti or Claus Co. Born the day Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. Must be cursed.
Wasn't Lincoln assassinated in 1865? Sweet Jesus, that would make you 148 year old!
Thank you for sharing, in some weird way this helps. I have nearly 82k in cards, avg 4-5 coins per day and cannot clear the wheel. Missing shelter, yeti, Clausco, and shiva snowman. I am at the point where I don't want to spin anymore. Cash and gift cards is all I get. I feel the wheel either stops right before or has just enough speed to go one peg past the items. It's making me nuts. I know it's random, and luck...but come on! At least let me buy the items with donuts. It would suck to miss out on buildings because of bad luck.
Hit the Snow Monster an hour ago to finally clear the wheel at a touch over 89000 Gift cards.
Had quite good fortune early on, it wasn't until I was down to four items (Snow Monster, Plow King, Shelter & a decoration) before I started hitting money. Over the last week, however, I had been spinning about 7 or 8 times a day for very little success, with Plow King and the Snow Monster proving to be as elusive as bigfoot himself. Think I was a little under 70000 when my girlfriend spun me up Plow King with her magic finger.
Waiting for the yeti and mr plow. Patience, patience. I have oner 72k gift cards, but something is bound to come my way sooner or later. I refuse to pay donuts for a spin, although I must admit the thought has crossed my mind more than once.
I guess this is how casinos make money, huh?
Stay the course moxxee, those of us who grind the game as we do should be able to knock off all the wheel prizes by the end of the event. Some people have just got very lucky and managed to win everything within quite early, but It looks like nearly everyone has got it within the 100,000 mark, bar a handful of poor souls. As you said; Patience!
I do pity the players who jumped the gun and paid donuts for spins, as it is apparent now that for regular players with a reasonable friend list the prizes are all very attainable for free. I think people would have been better off waiting until the last few of days of the event to see if they needed to, and whether it was worth it.
I really enjoyed the wheel myself, a nice little mini game which rewarded us with some nice freebies. The prizes were a good mix of items and well balanced (at least for those who did not already have decorations). I hope they continue to add these kind of features.
That being said, I am glad to be past the need to get spin coins and gift cards, and it will be good to give the Springfielders a rest from searching for Homer and Lisa, they've been at it for over a week now.
On Christmas Eve, I only had 3 items left to get from the wheel, the rest were just cards and money slices. Then my wheel reset, all the stuff I'd already won....lights, plow king, mr plow, the snow family and pets....were all there again.
For a bit I thought my entire game had reset (as I had seen a few others mention on this forum), but nothing else was effected. I still had all the lights and buildings and snow family/pets and skins I'd won before, but now I was winning duplicates (rather than having a chance at extra cards/money).
So now I have lots of extras, like 3 krabappel lights, 3 marge snowmoms, an extra plow king and so on.
Last night I did finally manage to have my wheel land on Claus Co, so even though my wheel has reset, I still have made at least a little bit of progress.
I now only lack the yeti and the snow idol/god thingy.
Started lucky with clause and yeti early on, but got down to plows and shelter and lost my luck. Now down to the shelter with 80k+ in gift cards. On a side note, I think I have found spin coins in a couple of gift bags. I say think because I'm busy trying to watch the name as I click and when I look back, there is an actual coin sitting on the screen.
I just need Claus co spinning 4 times a day but just get money nearly at 100000 gift cards but it's not landing on it
Hope to get it before the New Year
Town 1 = 88000 - still waiting on ClausCo. Get $1000 with EVERY spin with ClausCo always in the next segment. ALWAYS.
Town 2 = 55000 - as above (no yeti or ice god either, but not bothered)
Town 3 = 27000 - Got ClausCo first spin. (But want it in Town 1)
95,000 gift cards and STILL no Claus Co or Helter Shelter. I'm just really tired of spinning the dang wheel now, and having to keep my characters stuck on the pt. 18 loop. I just want to finish Christmas now. I really enjoyed last year and didn't want it to end. The wheel has really killed this year for me. If I have to use donuts to buy these buildings when most everyone got them for free I'm gonna be pissed.
I'm just over 50,000 gift cards and all I've got to get is Plow King so I'm pretty happy
Epic fail on mystery boxes though, the other day I got a mystery box for my mystery box and inside the 2nd one was a tree lol, that's the second time that's happened to me

I am one of those poor souls. :-) 105,000 and still waiting for the white furry man and Mr plow. It would be nice to get a tip from Pat Sajak on how to spin the wheel correctly.
It is true that the wheel is an interesting addition to the game. It's just frustrating to know that the odds are against you when you are presented with a wheel with equal opportunity. Going back to the casino analogy, the games are set up so the house wins most of the time.
Oh, well. I had 3 strips of bacon this morning, so nothing else really matters.
