What should I do with my feeder town after the update?

Prev1
Use it to generate boardwalk tiles, corn/moonshine, CH6 money, etc.

I must admit I never quite understood why people actually created feeder towns (ut would be too bothersome for me), and I find it even more mind-boggling that they get neighbours for their feeder towns. I once even got random add requests by a guy and his three feeder towns at once (either that, or by pure chance the owners of generic_name_1, generic_name_2, generic_name_3 and generic_name_4 decided to add me all at once), which I immediatly turned down.

So abandoning your feeder town gets full approval from me. If you got those neighbours via this board, I'd PM them and ask them to follow you to your main town; however, if they were just random adds, I'd probably just abandon them, as they'll find new neighbours the same way they found you.

I would definitely keep it. I agree that the feeder towns were more profitable during Halloween, but something might come up later (like tile tapping) and you'll need that town again. My feeder is more or less neglected. I don't do much with it and you don't have to either.

Visit occasionally anyway. You never know what other community involved event they'll do next, and it might require some minimum level. Besides, it's fun to get all nostalgic sometimes... at least if you've been playing over a year.

You can always cull the existing neighbors if you need room. Unless you actually have all active ones anyway.

I got the similar request from a set of towns... I accepted 1 and declined the others.

Maybe if you do abandon it put a message in the landing zone so your neighbours can take you off their list?

The only neighbors in my feeder are folks I actually know in person. I like to give those guys the extra boost.

And I've heard on this forum many people complaining that they've lost their main town for one reason or another. With a feeder town you can at least keep playing until the main town gets fixed. I think I have a neighbor that had to do that.

Just keep them and remember the passwords/username for the next event. I've had feeder towns since last Halloween. Three of them I have made into side towns and the rest are just in limbo.

As for your friends, if they delete you then so be it. If they don't, maybe they want small easy towns to collect from. If you want them in your main town just make a sign out of hedges with your main town username.

The reason i created a feeder town was so that if anything ever happened to my main town, i would have something to do until my main town was fixed and as a backup if it wasn't fixable.

I of course don't have neighbors for my feeder town with the sole exceptions of myself of course and my real life friend (which i added so that she would get extra help during holidays)

Having real neighbors would just be ludicrous since its definently something that i visit daily and wouldn't expect anyone else to visit daily or even weekly.

Played over a year without one, and I only created one near the end of the last Halloween event, but actually just for the tiles for my main town. But I've been keeping up on it fairly regular and have several neighbors (mostly newer players) and certainly been using it via this xmas event, and will use it for the other events, at least where dropping things on neighbors is meaningful. Between events, that will have to dial down... but people don't need me to do things in their town between events really (except tiles maybe).

I'd keep them. You don't have to visit often but they make for easy collecting during events.

My feeder town only has 3 neighbours - my other two towns and my mate's).

It's more fun to have a feeder town that someone else benefits from. If you have a cousin or spouse who likes the simpsons, use the feeder town when there are events to get the limited time items for them in case they ever want to start playing.

My feeder towns are left abandoned until there's events going on. Right now most of them are stuck on Level 9 -12. There's only Homer and Lisa there - no one else exists.

I'm curious though - how many feeder towns do each of you have?

I have 2 feeder towns plus my main and I play all of them every day and each of them have the max for friends so it takes me a while to get through all of them , but for me this is a stress reliever. I've been playing all of them since the re-release.

I don't have a feeder town but have been considering it. Does anyone know if you can have two TSTOs on one iPad? Thanks.

If you mean two accounts (towns) on one iPad, the answer is YES. You can have as many as you want. Trust me. (I should clarify ... The towns aren't stored on our devices. They "exist" on EA servers. We can sign in and play our towns from any device we happen to have with us at the moment. As long as the device has the TSTO app installed.)

I've had 5 towns on one iPad (or iPhone if I'm traveling). I only spend real money on one, so I work harder for free stuff on the others. All are level 37 and interesting towns (at least to me).

Ahem. Eight. My neighbors consist of my main town and my son, whose playtime varies wildly, since he has a new baby, fulltime job, and Masters degree courses. He had to drop his neighbors cuz he didn't play for long stretches at a time. Loves the game. I feed his town from my feeders, tap his tile and Channel Six, and when his schedule calms down ... Well ...

But the MAIN reason I started my first feeder was to see what the game is like when I spend no money, don't waste donuts to speed stuff up, etc. The complete opposite of how I played my main town. It has been a trip. :)

That's how I play my one and only town - free! :) But I may change that before Christmas items leave! I want more reindeer! :D

Thx for the replies. I'm going to get started on my second town now.

I usually have my main on my iPhone and feeder on my iPad so I don't have to sign in every time
