If my calculations are correct, you can't obtain everything that's christmas

I don't think your calculations are correct. While the total amount you'll need to acquire everything is pretty high, there are also numerous ways to earn coins. You can get 300/day just visiting friends. Do that for 25 days, and you have 7500 coins. That's more than enough for everything, and that's not even taking into account the numerous other ways you'll be earning coins along the way.

Ned, Homer, Bart, Lisa, and Marge jobs can total to around 72 coins per day if you keep them active, plus another 75/day (from what I understand) from decorated houses. And also ten/day from the tree. Not to mention the possibility of 10-20 every 5 days from the xmas mystery box (bag?).

That's a lot of coins you can earn. It's not going to be that difficult to finish.

You also get coins from completing quests. I got 30 extra for the Flanders quests and I understand you get 10 extra for decorating houses. Maybe you won't get the dog, but no biggie. Still I bet you will if you're an active player.

People stressed about Halloween. I put my cemeteries in storage after the second day, never sent anyone on candy quests and still had enough to buy all that crap if I wanted to. I didn't. And personally, you can keep your furbies. :)

I doubt you have to buy them in any order. You will be able to get SLH before decideding whether to get the Funzos or not.

nope, you're talking out of your *. You get the funzo and then santas little helper. You can get the 60 donut one if you want to hold onto your santa coins for the dog though.

I think they made it more expensive because everybody had everything with the Halloween treats within the first few weeks. This makes it harder.

An additional way to get coins is decorating your houses. Like I said previously, if you have 50 houses, that 250/ day with 25 from Santa's village, 10 from the tree and whatever you get from firneds and tasks shoukd be fine, It's just going to take several days to decorate the houses becuase the coins are collected every 24. Once three or four days have passed the coins will start to accumulate.

As I understand it you don't get coins from every house? Doesn't matter if you have 1 brown house or 50 brown houses, you only get 5 coins per color house you have. Please correct me if I'm wrong here

You won't get 250 coins a day from 50 decorated houses. You only get 5 coins/day from each house type, not each specific house. House farms don't serve any extra benefit in terms of xmas coin generation.
