Apparently EA needs to work out the kinks regarding the account switching glitch. They do not want to be liable (or be forced to refund money) for any lost premium content purchased by the many tappers who have been affected by the glitch. The premium content could be sold if someone who is inadvertently logged into the premium players' Springfield decides to sell the premium content (or spend all donuts/in-game money which has been purchased via donuts). As such, EA feels it's important to first patch that glitch to avoid a class action or a large-scale refund.
