That's exactly why i'm saying something like this..sometimes i spend a lot of time browsing my neighbor city who has so much staff that find ch6 or the farm is really hard.
Having a "you hare here sign" with a big krusty face and a big red arrow on it would allow us to maintain our desired layout in our SF while allowing our friends to visit us quickly..honestly we are 1 in 100 friends and if every city takes us an entire minute to find what we have to tap the situations are two, soon we start tapping random things or we stop visiting..
I would love to be able to control my landing zone. We know it's possible, now, and I've seen a bit of talk about how to make a permanent decoration to control landing zone. A "you are here" sign would be good. It could probably be hidden behind a building if desired, or it could be incorporated into a design.
My factory is in the top left part of the city, close to the SP tile, but my friends will face some graffiti first, and eventually Channel6.
By the way, I have reached the limit for the SP tile, so no one is looking for the factory where my corn is actually growing (I know they will not tap it based on the past, the new corn will be ready in few weeks).
I'm against this. I wouldn't want to have to arrange anything stackable close to where I want the statue, nor would I want to transplant the statue from his home in front of town hall. It's far too iconic and important a decoration for a LZ marker.
There are also a few players I've seen saying they wouldn't want anything forcing their landing zone to a particular place. I don't really get why not, but those players would probably be very upset if the Jeb statue became the new marker. Why deal with that when it could be something a bit more generic, that could be stored without making your town look incomplete (can Jeb even be stored at all?) etc.
That's why I really like the idea presented here. A little map sign could fit in a park with the open air stage, or be hidden behind channel six, or be next to a sidewalk leading to squidport or hidden behind one of the squidport buildings, or even be placed in a wooded area near a farm. It's potentially versatile as a decoration, would probably look nice, and yet it's not this hugely iconic feature. It's also not so generic as to be kind of pointless. So, some sort of sign, like those maps they have in parks and college campuses, not a bad idea at all.

I think this idea is great. I would love to be able to control my landing zone, not because I want my neighbours to tap anything specific but because I think it's also a cool way of showcasing your new designs/better parts of town.

Sorry that was bugging me.
If we could choose our LZ we'd have to pick the item it's centred about. My vote would be for the jeb statue
That could work too, the point is that whatever is the item, we need that feature!

Hope EA finally hears our voices
Make our voice be heard! This is a must have feature!
I was really hoping the gift tree would still function as a landing marker post-Christmas.
