Tile glitch?

Yes it does; if you've built a tile, don't collect it, let your neighbours tap your tile, for every neighbour that taps your tile, you get a tile in return, so basically don't collect your tile, let the handshakes build, most people like to keep 2 handshakes as insurance so they don't accidentally collect their tile

I really wish people would stop referring to it as a glitch. It just gives ammunition to those who like to cry foul on using a game mechanic to advantage. A glitch is when you get rolled back a level and get twice the donuts for leveling up, but it's not something you can control. Stackables work pretty much the same for everyone.

Anyway, yes, stackability is still a thing. Every time a neighbor taps one of your stackables, they leave a handshake, until you have a stack of handshakes on whatever it is. You can then tap those handshakes and get multiple payouts/boardwalk sections. As long as you don't clear them all away, neighbors can keep on tapping on it. It's pretty simple. This encourages visiting neighbors during non-events and being all social. It also encourages visiting your town multiple times a day because sometimes it needs a re-sync to keep stacking. Hope that's clear.

thanks that did clear up a bit of confusion i had now i have another question relating to this. So lets say a friend comes and taps a tile thats it and goes back to his friends list and comes back again to my town and taps again on my boardwalk tiles and does the same again since you can tap 3 things on a persons town will that make it 3 tiles more or just one?

It won't give you 3 tiles doing it that way. Your neighbor will receive the XP each time he taps your tile, but you only receive 1 tile. You need to log into your town between taps from your neighbors, or they don't stack. So, in theory, you could coordinate with your neighbor and have a set time when they will visit your town, and you could login to your town between their taps, and then you would receive 3 handshakes. This is also what a lot of people do with their "feeder towns"....tap your own tile from your feeder town, login to your main town, tap your own tile from your feeder town, login to your main town.... Is this making sense? I get kinda rambly sometimes....

It will only give you three tiles if you log in inbetween every time they click on your tile. For example, my brother can click on my tile and leave my town, if I log into the game before he comes back then I will get a second tile when he taps it a second time. If you don't log in though then they can't give you a second or third tile

okay so if im correct then when the time comes for my friend to tap on my tile cause i own two accounts for tapped out so when the time comes ill make my friend tap my tile then back out of my town then as my own town i log in and just stay there in my town? while my friend taps it again then backs out and goes in and taps it again? so pretty much i have to stay in the game while hes doing that?

i agree that glitch sounds negative if it is engineered into the game as part of the reward for adding neighbors.

but then the counter to 'glitch' is either 'its in the instructions' or 'it's an easter egg' bonus if not.

you can give three taps per 24hr cycle. but within any 24hr period, additional taps on the same icon cannot be given until the previous tap was received . after giving any 3 taps, the icon's timer resets, taking 24hrs until you can tap 3x again.

don't assume the tile's appearance indicates acceptance of the tap.

All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

There are claims that for some players they can only stack two handshakes at maximum, so it probably does not work the same for everyone.

Since it's not universal, the two-handshake-only problem probably is a glitch with a feature of the game, just like the crashing krustyland problem. But I haven't seen anyone say they cannot stack handshakes at all. Even if such a player existed, they would still be the vast minority. I guess I just define a "glitch" as something that doesn't happen for most players, and doesn't follow a pattern in when or how it happens (e.g. the "permanent possession" glitch during halloween, or graphic glitches where a house turns into another building or fences turn into a line of a random character.)

I agree. This is not a glitch. I'm getting like 750 XP when I tap a tile. One of the programmers planned this so that we have a reason to get keep this game social which keeps people playing which keeps EA making money. Now unfortunately for me, I screwed up early on and now I have no tiles to leave to tap. I could use another 100 tiles but if EA doesn't move the max up, I'm SOL.

I was stuck at 2 forever, until the last update. I can now exceed 2. I started a thread to see if others found theirs fixed too and a surprisingly low number of people that responded theirs had been fixed. Maybe the number was low because not everybody was stuck at 2. The thread had about 1000 views.
