Coins are making me have dark thoughts about house farming...

Do you pay 50 coins PER HOUSE or once you get one you get them all? I'd consider farming maybe one...or two...or 10

I then went I started to build afew more brown houses and pink houses..
Mainly because I didn't realise how cheap they was for starters...it had been so long since I built the earlier houses I didn't realise they cost practically nothing..
But personally I won't be going as far as farming...I barely have any houses as it is until I eventfully have Anouilh room to place the houses in a street organised style
One coin (translates to total of five) per house type. Sorry, I was referring to the floating image of the coin as it appears to represent treats per multiple house when in reality the coin over each house of the same type simply means you can obtain the " payout" once per house type. An earlier poster must have seen the coin icon over each house and assumed the 5-coin payout would be for each house of the same type.
1 brown house = 5 coins/day
50 brown houses = 5 coins/day
There's no coin benefit whatsoever to house farms.
And for the other question, you only have to buy the decoration once, and it will be displayed on each house of that type. You don't have to buy it for each specific house.
Too slow on the draw again!
Full points awarded for that line.
Not sure yet how much time pressure there will be to accumulate Christmas coins... accumulating Halloween currency and acquiring Halloween items was no problem, but of course the logistics are different with this update. I'd certainly consider farming if I thought it was the only way to complete Christmas quests/obtain Christmas schwag in time. Doesn't seem like EA would design it that way, though.
So there it is. My town will remain pure. I had a dream of a field of coins with Bart dressed as Mario collecting like a fiend for an extra life.
Back to judging from afar.
Thanks for the info!
I don't think there's going to be much pressure for regular players, especially if you visit friends daily.
100 friends = potentially 300 coins/day
Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge, Ned tasks can total around 70 coins/day
Tree - 10 coins/day
Houses - 65 coins/day (75 if you have Frinks Lab and the Volcano Lair)
That's potentially 445 coins a day without spending any donuts. Plus you get coin rewards for finishing xmas tasks on top of that.
In total, you'll need 4,850 coins to get everything. At 445/day, that's less than 11 days, and the event goes until the 3rd of January. If you were to keep at it until the event finished, you'd be able to get well over 10,000 coins without spending any donuts.
Thank you very much!
Yea I put my name on the webs today for the first time. Already had 5 friends I know who play the game. Have 100 friends now.
This updates Ridiculous
It doesn't take long to acquire new friends around here. Especially right after an update like this when everyone is hunting for them.
I agree, great update. I was starting to get a little bored with the game, but this update has me going strong again.
Anyone want to guess the date of the first post complaining that the snow is getting boring? I'm going to say Dec. 12.
Of course, initially you have to spend some of those coins per day on purchasing the decorations to begin with so it will likely be a bit longer than 11 days but it should still be easily doable in a month.
People just running in, hitting the first three things they see and skedaddling always seemed lame to me.
Yes, very true. However, the coins you get from the houses are a relatively small percentage of the possible daily total. Plus, each time you add decorations to a house, you get 10 coins back as a reward for completing the task.
