Valentines day is another 3 weeks away too early for speculation imho... Please lets not have a repeat of a few weeks ago when many ppl were cluttering the forum with hundreds of threads speculating that Christmas had been cancelled because there'd been no update weeks before the actual date. :-( :?

Tonight episode by the description I see on the TV guide is marge tries on Homer high tech glasses and realizes he learns she is seeing a marriage counselor. I have no idea what that means

Sometimes lots of threads about speculation is better than nothing :-)

@Datasurgeon, I understand, that the Valentine Massacre, is a segment of today's episode. Have a look in their Facebook page and Fox's programs. It seems that Bart has to give a valentine to Nelson, or else.....

I really don't care for Facebook (oh I can hear the shutters now0. My quote was from my dish guide which I assume is from Fox. No mention of Bart there but there normally is 2 story lines in every episode.

I got on this forum just to make a post about this myself. While V-day is indeed weeks away, I thought for sure if there was a Valentines episode today then surely they'd want to have an in-game tie in. They promote much lesser events and Valentines is not a very common one to have episodes for, it's a rare opportunity that I wouldn't expect the, to let pass.

    Oh well...

Anyone else find it funny that they used to have rules about Homer not being able to be stupid enough that he forgets that he is Homer Simpson and tonight they dipped so low that even Mr. Burns forgot his own identity... This town really is getting dumber by the year lol.

I think EA might be listening to most people when it comes to the length of events. I think they will start making most events last within a two week period so people stop complaining how long they are. Since most events last a few days past the holiday I feel the V-Day event will start around the 1st of the month (my Guess)

.. and still no Valentine's Day update. Not even a tie-in (although that happened with Married to the Blob recently). So time for speculation: is the event cancelled? I would've thought that if they were gonna do it, it'd be here by now.

Good lord man it's not even February yet. No it's not time for any speculation, especially if it had been caned or not. It won't happen AT THE VERY EARLIEST this week sometime. Calm yourself.
Once it starts it will go til the end of the month.

Yeah, that's definitely intentional. That's how people find out what schools and businesses have been closed or have delayed openings for the next day when there's bad weather. Apparently there's disruptive weather where the person who recorded this lives, that's all :)

I think they usually shrink the actual show so you're not missing anything at the bottom, but the stuff at the top does sometimes cover things up. I don't really pay that much attention, to be honest. How do they notify people of things like this in Italy?

Oh, ok :) I guess in America we're not committed enough to watching the news when it's broadcast. The Simpsons always airs on Fox, which shows national TV shows and is also a local news network. So the school/business closing are always local to the audience watching them (with the exception of the people watching online ;)).
