Yeah, that's definitely intentional. That's how people find out what schools and businesses have been closed or have delayed openings for the next day when there's bad weather. Apparently there's disruptive weather where the person who recorded this lives, that's all
covering part of the show? that sucks
I think they usually shrink the actual show so you're not missing anything at the bottom, but the stuff at the top does sometimes cover things up. I don't really pay that much attention, to be honest. How do they notify people of things like this in Italy?
usually on the news XD
or locally.
Oh, ok I guess in America we're not committed enough to watching the news when it's broadcast. The Simpsons always airs on Fox, which shows national TV shows and is also a local news network. So the school/business closing are always local to the audience watching them (with the exception of the people watching online ).
Now I know why the downloaded version of the show usually comes with the Global logo, which means it was ripped from the Canadian broadcast. If this is what Americans have to put up with, while watching Family Guy on T.V. than I feel bad for them.

Exactly
Meh. It's actually not a big deal at all. No one cares.
Valentines day is another 3 weeks away too early for speculation imho... Please lets not have a repeat of a few weeks ago when many ppl were cluttering the forum with hundreds of threads speculating that Christmas had been cancelled because there'd been no update weeks before the actual date. :-( :?
Sometimes lots of threads about speculation is better than nothing :-)

Im just in the middle of watching it now
It's called school cancellations. Very important info to parents, and teachers who like cancellations more than the students.
Anything good about the Valentine's segment of the episode? Wonder if we'll get something from it this week.
I remember this from a few years ago.
For those who'd like to emulate this: We need MORE LAND
We need an update too!
yes and sometimes less is more
