if you go with your crop still growing without being ready into the update it will be fine. if it's grown lets pray it doesnt reset

Try to get your conform-o-meter up and if you have Channel 6 (and some good friends) you can get a few payouts per day. If you stay as a freemium player use your donuts sparingly and try to get the highest bonus money for the buck. I struggled saving until I finally finished all the quests and purchasing the high price buildings but it was not too bad and we have a lot of fun along the way :D

    Yeah, that'll do it.
I would have recommended farming a bunch of Perfection for a little quick cash, but that won't work if you have corn.
Do you have any of the premium broadcasts for Channel Six? Those are good, too. If not, the regular programming can also stack up and make you some cashy money, but not as much. Still better than nothing, though.
But yeah, it's pretty normal to be broke. I was top level for a month or two before I was not broke all the time. (And I want the Zirconia, so I'll be really broke again once I save up 5mil. Heh.)

Make your characters do something for a hour and check when there done. When you go to sleep make your characters do something for 12 hours.

Indeed it is, but if it is done right then you will not notice it much and the number of houses will decline drastically after:

    1) You've reached the highest level
    2) You've bought all Land and ocean
    3) You have built everything and have at least 1-2 millions to spare.

Remeber that the game will offer you free multipliers sometimes and once you hit the highest level, that is when you get donuts for the Exp.

I'd recommend some blue houses to feed your land purchasing at first. Just remember to keep it neat or secluded. Blue houses have the best interest as you can take everything back in less than a week. Build a neighborhood ;)

Yeh, that's normal. I was lucky enough to start near the beginning so I was never too far behind the latest level. When you catch up you'll find it all becomes a lot easier.

I remember why i 1st started and the money used to take ages to build up, but you reach a certain point in the game where the cash just starts to build up more quickly. When you are going to buy buildings that the game gives you always try and get the ones with characters 1st as this way it extra money coming in, buildings with no characters can wait. As other people have said already try and set tasks that suit when you can log in :)

IMO try not to catch up to quick though. Once you get caught up and have tons of money, then it just becomes a game of wait until the next update, or "what should my eighth redesign look like?" Take your time and enjoy having a constant stream of content. It can be frustrating to wait, but it was better than waiting for new updates.

Regarding Channel 6, is it worth spending donuts to get the Premium items that go with it?

I have 145 donuts and have no real idea what building/character to go for. Should I get both items in the meantime then?

At level 21, this is very normal. You are now playing a game of patience.

I'd say save up the donuts for something special. You'll never know what they'll release next and you wouldn't want to regret using those hard earned donuts.

As for the cash generated from the premium items, there really isn't any rush. Most likely you're getting a steady stream of cash from your current setup. You'll eventually reach a point where you bought all the aspirationals and still have too much cash on hand.

If you're a freemium player like me, you'll want to save up those donuts because you only get one or two free each level. And if for some reason you do need a sudden burst of cash for a limited time item, either quickly farm tasks or just sell things you can easily get back later.

I just reached level 31 (half way to 32, now). I noticed that with more buildings and characters that I added I make money more quickly. Example: I had a little over $100,000, but within a 48hr time period, I was prompted to build three separate buildings. I did not have the land available so I had to fork over some to buy three new plots of land. That brought down my cash total to a little over $40,000. I then put all my characters on 12-hour jobs and now I am back up to $70,000. Still not enough for one of the buildings (The Buddhist Temple, which I am going for first so I can get Lenny and Carl), so I am going to keep doing the 12-hour tasks at night until I get back up to the $100,000. I figure (based on forum posts from veteran players) that I will eventually reach a point where I will have so much money, I won't know what to do with it. For now, though, I am happy with where I am in the game. I understand your frustration though. It seems like as soon as you get a good amount, it has to be spent on buildings and land.

If you have the donuts to buy Arnie Pye, do it ! :)

It gives you a 48-hour Channel 6 task, and that gives lots of money and XP (I am not at home now so I cannot give the exact figure).

Yes at the lower levels it's hard. I'm 38 & have corn. I get 3 donuts about every other day because of the corn & friends tapping. Got 80+ million. Getting donuts is cool though. Hopefully by the time you get to 38 you can get lots of donuts from corn.

I remember those days. Pockets bare, starving people, no money to buy even toilet paper.. ....... Wait, you're talking about in-game?! My bad... Yeah it gets better!
