What do you do after the Mapple Store?

My Mapple Store has just started building and Bart is on a quest to be a Nutcracker while Mr. Burns is hiding waste (also a task).
My question is, what do I do next? What happens? What will be unlocked? Or who should be free during this time. Thanks for your help! And sorry if there is a post already about this but I swear I looked around and found nothing before posting this.
