A debate about Edna Karbapple

Do you mean that her character isn't voiced but they're still drawing her/showing her on the show? The wording of that line confuses me a little...

Was last Sunday's episode made before or after Marcia Wallace passed away? During the scene where Bart refused to give Nelson a Valentines Day card, they showed the teacher's desk, and Willie was sitting there. They didn't show Edna Krabapple as the teacher. They completely left her out; she would normally be in the background... Or, am I missing something? It looks like they just erased her character out of the show.

I think we should keep her in the game. Edna Krabapple is a beloved character, and I don't think we should just get rid of her character just because the woman who voiced her passed away.

I'm not sure really that's why I started this debate am in 2 minds bout the caricator part of me says keep her and the other says for her to be sent away

What I said was I don't know what is being done bout Edna on tv am in England so I havenot seen the new series of simpsons so don't know if she has been wrote out or if she's been kept. I was also wandering of any thing would be done in the game as a mark of respect or if they plan on keeping her in it

Yea the statue would be good but it should not be a premium item I thing it should be givern to everyone like certain items was givern

I am also of two minds about this. In game, they'll keep her I'm sure. Maybe they'll take her out of the new peoples quest lines eventually but I doubt it. A statue would be cool though.

On the show I kinda think they should kill the character. She's too big of a character to gloss over being gone and simpsons bringing in a new actor to do the voice just doesn't seem right. When Phil Hartman died they didn't keep Troy mc clure and his characters going. And no she was not in Sundays episode but she was shown in the week before. No dialogue though. I think it'd be funny to have homer accidentally kill her too... Ala Maude Flanders. I'm sure plenty of people will disagree but I just don't think Marcia Wallace should be replaced and simply not addressing her abscense doesn't seem like the simpsons.

Either retire the Edna on the tv or do some tree house of horror episode where she comes back as a ghost to torment Bart

So you're suggesting that because the voice of a beloved character on the show is gone that we should remove all occurrences of that character? That would be a pretty poor way to honor Mrs. Krabappel and Marcia Wallace, don't you think? Of course the character can't live on in the TV show, but removing her from the game makes absolutely no sense.

I was just wandering what should be done in the game as Marcia Wallace died while Edna was on the game I didn't mean it to disrespect the memory of her she was a good person. I suggested this because there are no carrictors of any other voice actors that have died ie Troy McClure or the other doctor that was in it or bleeding gums Murphy. I know Maude is back but in ghost form. I just think something should be done maby we should have Edna and a statue and a statue of Marcia Wallace. Or maby retire Edna of the game. I don't know. I don't mean to disrespect Marcia's memory I'm sorry if it comes across it

I don't think you mean disrespect, I just don't get why anyone would want to remove the character from the game. I get that adding a character voiced by someone who died (i.e. Troy McClure) might be a touchy situation, but Edna and her dialogue were already approved for the game and I think it's a no-brainer to keep her here.

Ok I will say this keep her in the game and have the 2 statues that I suggested. I see this is going to cause a lot people to say leave her in so now I say leave her in with the statues added but the statues should not be premium items and don't think you souls use simpsons money either
