There is NOT any new land. I wish there was... There have been 2 land expansions in the past. First was Squidport, your pic shows the 2ND expansion we got months ago.

Right now. Go check your Springfield. Sorry my Photobucket went a bit goofy. I'm not one to troll or spam. We got more land and I just bought it all. The highest was the water at $114,000.

I take it you didnt own all your land? As there is no new land available in the game, i did just check just in case lol

Nope I owned all the land. I've been playing since it came out. Could there be some kind of slow roll out while updating the servers. As you can see with the prices I posted, these don't coincide with the current TSTO Wiki pricing. Weird.

I just double checked to make sure I'm not going crazy. The old was 13x13 squares. I now have 14 wide, a total of 56 square wide.

This is the land expansion that came with the Halloween update four months ago. Someone just didn't update the wiki.

So, yes, it's fair to say that excitement around here has indeed died down about the land expansion. (You weren't kidding when you said you'd been away for a while.)

After each update, I check for new land and check my donut confirmation setting.

Those prices could be the land that was close to the water. The extra strip of land that was added wasn't that expensive by the water, it only went up in price on the left side of town.

No, there was new land... Back around Halloween or so. This isn't new, you probably just didn't check since then, there was no in-game announcement.
