Do Mapple Store and Try-N-Sav count as "stores"?

Prev1
Mapple store has a stack of cash floating over it when it is ready. I have also been stuck on 4.5 stars for as long as I can remember, I have multiple Kwik-E-Marts as well and have accepted my 4.5 star existence.

5 stars is the holy grail of this game and almost purely mythical at this point. Getting consumerism and gluttony up to max levels is ridiculous. Try and Save should definitely count as stores but you never know. I'd be happy with 4.5 if I were you. I'm certainly not building tonnes of duplicates just to get an extra 0.5% on earnings.

The House of Evil became a "regular" building instead of a store after the Halloween event ended, with floating cash rather than a cash register. I find that odd and a little disappointing, since 5 stars in Consumerism is hard to achieve without multiple Kwik-E-Marts. :(

EDIT: Androids Dungeon - clearly a retail store - also gives a stack of cash.

Even *with* multiples, it would seem since indydude33 has 4 Kwik-E-Marts. EA is tantalizing us with that meter.

It takes 5 QEM'S to get to 5 star consumerism.

And it looks like I'm going to have to build another restaurant or two to get my gluttony back to 5. I guess I could use a third Krusty Burger to go with my 3 Gulp-N-Blows.

I don't see what's wrong with having multiple stores and restaurants, you need to fill you Springfield with something, right?

I tend to be a little OCD about this game, but getting a five-star conformity rating ain't one of the things that drives me nuts. Especially if I have to buy multiple KEM's -- my town is currently cluttered enough without that potential addition. And my less-than-five-star rating bothers me a lot less now that EA has finally fixed the premium bonus bug.

I'm in the exact same boat. I still feel gyped that my 4th KEM only bumped my consumerism rating up from 4 to 4.5.

Gluttony only required 3 GNBs and 2 KBs to get 5 stars. Needing more than 4 of a single building is just ridiculous.

Oh, did level 24 up the requirements for gluttony? I was at 5 stars last week with the same number of restaurants. I'm still at 5 stars, but maybe that's only because I built Lard Lad just in time!

I almost hate to be the one to tell you this, but it actually only takes 5 Quik-E-Marts to get to 5 stars. That was true for level 23 and is also true for level 24. My Mapple store is still building, so I don't know what that one will do for you yet.

Yeah it's really lame that House of Evil and some others don't count as stores.

And Bad Dream House doesn't count as a house.

I guess I'll have to stick with my 4~4.5 rating too because I don't want multiples of things

There is nothing wrong with "multiples of things", in fact, you actually DO want multiples of things over time. You need more buildings/houses for cash and eventually when your town gets large enough, you will want to have several separate commercial areas....having fast food restaurants and kwik-e-marts in bunches around your town. Go ahead and just plunk down and get them now.

I wish we could buy more than one "Try N Save". Otherwise, not sure what I am going to spend all my extra coins on?

Getting 5 stars on your Conform-O-Meter is not as mythical as you may think. I have 6 Kwik-E-Marts scattered throughout my Springfield. I figured in a real world scenario, you would have dozens of quickmarts all over a major city anyway, just as you would have with fast food places.

I only have 1 of each building. I refuse to buy multiples of the same store & restaurant to fill my meter. Land is already costly for me. So I really hope both the Mapple Store & Try-N-Save will count as stores.

Then hopefully in the future they will add more restaurants like The Happy Sumo, The Frying Dutchman, The Singing Sirloin, etc...

I tend to buy enough stores to get through the collecting $ from 10 stores.. Or the 18 houses. This way I don't have to use 1 donut to speed up the task
    Is there anyone out there?

    YES!

My Mapple store just finished building and it instantly bumped me up to 5 stars, both in consumerism and overall. (I already have 4 KEMs and all other buildings up through Krabapple's Apartment.). First time I've ever had 5 stars! :D

And yes, upon building the Mapple store, my consumerism rating went up. All good.
