I drEAd thinking of what might happen later on today, perhaps I'll be forced to EAt mEAt at dinner... and maybe go to the movie thEAtre in the evening... *shudder*... EA, You'll not get away with this! Thanks for opening my eyes, Bettyumu!

This is like complaining about all the guns in Call of Duty or something. We tap what EA programs for us to tap. Your rights aren't being trampled on or anything.

Better anaology: I don't want to put the basketball in the basket! All I want to do is dribble around, but I keep losing.

PS: I agree that it can be a bit of a drag. I am building my KL too and was visiting neighbors for tickets, but it will be back!

I found a solution, OP. Take a break from the game till the V-Day even is over.

    You're welcome.

Actually as I mentioned in another post, you can find valentines in Krustyland. I do not see any logic to why they appear there. and it seems to be fairly rare as I only found only 2 out of Krustyland had valentines today, when I came across it. (no, if they didn't update, there will be no valentine)

However, If you tap them there, I only see the valentine, no cash, no xp

I've found them there as well, my assumption is that the player had characters doing tasks in kl (absurd I know).

I've tapped on valentines since the event started, helped friends etc (when the game lets me in haha).

But I've noticed that the squid port, stage etc has been taken away so that you can only click 'cards'. But I thought I would have a rest today as I am level 38 with a few million in the bank and waiting for roses to grow and I have neglected Krustyland, so off I go to do some stuff there and I think 'ooh I need KL tickets I'll visit friends KL' but no, you can't click ANYTHING in krusty land there are no tickets available.

I don't like this, what if I didn't want to play the VD update? It's a little bit shocking that we are being forced to only do what EA want us too.

Have you contacted your representative in Congress about this?

I guess I'm going to be completely lone voiced in this... But to be honest the valentines event is my favourite event of the year, as it was last year. I think the characters and decorations in the update are all awesome, some of the best all year. The fact we get brandine is an added bonus. I prefer this event to much larger events, as the other really dominate your town and this one does not as much. And yes I know the dreaded wheel... But what's not to love about a load of free awesome decorations? I think this event is the best, even if I am the lone ship sailing. Happy valentines!

This game is supposed to be a sandbox game. In GTA if I want to drive around I have that option. I can get to the missions when I feel like it. Right now during this update EA has not only forced us to do an update ALL of my friends and I hate but you have to spend a long time revisiting neighbors in order to get hearts. Then spin the wheel to win the same prizes you already have and you can't even sell them. I agree with the OP

You do realize valentine cards only appeared after you harvested roses for the first time? You could have skipped that if you didn't want to play the event.

nope cause when you visited neighbors they had a message that said you had to get the latest update to visit this neighbor then during the roses growing they still had nothing to tap

Um, no. Getting the update is different from starting the questline. I had one neighbor's feeder town still spraying graffiti three or four days into the event, and before/while my roses were growing I could tap buildings. Once I harvested them, the stuff about collecting cards popped up, and my next round of visits, I could only tap cards. But like I said, there were still towns that hadn't started the questline by harvesting roses, and they could still graffiti me.
