I've flip flopped on this. When I first started the game, If I could get away without a section or two, I did. To save cash. As I progressed I just built stuff behind buildings as money wasnt an issue. Now I take out stuff like that because of the decorations limit.

Goes without saying. I don't bother putting something out if the entire image is behind something else.

I do it. If I didn't I'd go crazy every time I hid buildings and saw gaps. It's wrong to say "nobody will know". YOU know. Yes you do - and it's itching away at the back of your mind.

Only do it if I can't get them to join up properly (eg. fit a 2-square wall into a 1-square gap), and also only behind buildings.

Halloween & Xmas, with their bare-branch trees etc., mean I now do full fence lines (and even the occasional flowers & bushes) behind tree-lines. Those will probably be the first things stored if/when I hit the decorations cap, but that hasn't happened yet.

That is frustrating for me. We have the large hedge and small hedge, so why can't we have the large cobblestone wall and the small cobblestone wall? It would help with design, especially for the OCD designers in all of us.

I do this as well just to keep me honest lining things up. I used to just use only what you can see, but like knowing things line up, and the first winter when the leaves came off the trees there were gaps in my fences and it was more of a pita to fix it than to just place them right to begin with.

Yeah, I kinda stopped doing that in some parts of my town where it wasn't necessary :)

I do it, too, almost always. The only time I "fudge" it is if spacing is off.

I used to do this until I started to get the "Max" item warnings. After that I went back and pulled out items that didn't need to be there...

Lol! Me too! The OP seemed a bit ashamed, so I was looking really hard, hoping for something risque.

What a letdown this turned out to be. (J/k) :)
